Ok im headed home and some benz 320 v6 S/C comes up trying to race as i look over the guy had to be 65+ years old. So after he smokes me we meet up at the light.... he tell me how nice my car is bla bla... so on...so on. To make a long story short I need a damn hks supercharger or a damn T-netics kit bad its driving me crazy that there are no kits for us yet 05-06 guys and gals. Any one that can please PM me about some more info on there rev up motors boosted Do So thanks. I have changed my mind about rims and kit i need boost and need it fast~!!!!!!

 

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, you can get a Greddy kit now or a tuner kit from the others and diff EMS. I heard the APS kit needs to be modified for 06 cars but not 05s.

was it a C320 AMG or what?

C320s aren't supercharged stock, unless it was the AMG, it's just a V6 with something like 210hp or something.

head down to the rockville/Bethesda area there are plenty of rich old men and there sons with fast high end cars you can race.

 

Those C32 AMG's are fast, nothing to be ashamed of. They are about as fast as an E46 M3.

Just cuz they are old doesnt mean they cant drive. A guy I play Table Tennis with used to race IMSA cars. Raced against Paul Hogan in his days. Hes in his 60s and I would hate to race him. Hes a Porsche guy through and through but super nice and willing to teach me some things! (can't beat that with a big stick now can you!)

 

sorry to hear about that...I have the opposite problem...older men going through their mid life crisis see my car and thinbk they are going to teach us young bucks a thing or two...they pull up on me in their porsche 911's/ 996's/ vipers/Z06, etc....and I put 10 bus lengths on them

Then we pull up to a light AND I tell them how THEY have a nice car

 

dude its not a midlife crisis its just that we remember what our old cars did,like my old 72 mustang running 11.7,s in the 1/4,but now we need all this extra electronics to do it now which we didnt need back in the days.no turbos or superchargers back then just good o nohow.

 

True to many of the above ----I loose track sometimes. If Im going through a midlife crisis I'll live to be a 100 ----And Superchargedg I was there with the 289s 327s 383s 426Hs 427s 428s 429s 440s also. sorry, no offense with the "midlife crisis" comment ...I'll be doing this until I'm 90 years old, I'm sure all the damn whipper snappers running around then will think I'm in some sort of crisis...

so, excuse my words, not a crisis, but still very amusing nonetheless

the older cars weren't so much know-how..just larger displacement motors..what is really impressive is that a 3.5L motor can make over 100hp per cylinder!!! The electronics and precise tuning aspects of these cars is what makes this such an interesting hobby, IMHO

 

A lot of us were racing before you lads (and lasses) were a gleam in your daddy's eye. And we still like it. If you see an old guy in anything quick 'cept a Vette, be wary. Be very wary.
