you need to not trust that the reflash is dead on - regardless of elevation

He is saying even if you were at sea level you should not trust the reflash.

yeah too many factors that chances are the reflash is not going to run your car the greatest and you could do damage if unless you have an A/F gauge or can dyno and chart out your A/F. Too many factors - weather, elevation, gas octane, other mods you have etc to leave it to chance

Theres people in the mountains of New Mexico running on the reflash just fine. Last time I checked North Carolina, Tenesse, Georgia, California, Washington, and several other states aren't sea level everywhere but the flash works fine there...

I did AAM flash, Im @ 8500' above sea level. It ran good..... to the dyno, so it could be fine tuned. I would not have trusted just the flash to be safe.
There were both map changes to the SplitSecond and the Utec, over and beyond the reflash.

Trip at speed dreAMS had to send his ecu in SEVERAL times to get it to work right at our altitude..

my suggestion, contact screename speedreams...they can give you some guidance as to what they had to go through for the reflash..or talk to technosquare, they should have the flash in their system for trip in new mexico,...

If you get a utec got to mac auto in parker, nick tuned my car on utec and did a really really good job. Its nice to have a good tune up here and the other good thing about getting the utec is you keep putting things on it like exaust ect ect. You can have it tuned again and not have to send in the ecu and have them guess at it.

I talked to Trip about this and the back and forth was to make more power not that it wasn't working.

He told me that it was running way too rich like low 10:1...he said he was sending it back to lean it out (and make more power)...

Right it was running way to rich but he was also only running 6-7 PSI of boost instead of 8. He shimmed the wastegate to make 8 PSI but still felt 11:1 was too rich and sent it in for an 11.5:1 AFR which netted him more power...Thats what he told me...

We were making 8 PSI and the car was still way too rich. Additionally at altitude you can always tolerate more timing and thats what adjustments had to be made from the standard Turbonetics tune...
