Default Drop in oil pressure ?

I used non-syntethic oil to break-in my built engine but i think I'm having some drop in my oil pressure.

normally, when the engine was cold, my oil pressure would be around 80 psi and 35 psi when is hot (@ idle).

Now my oil pressure when the car is cold is around 60psi and 18 psi when the car is hot. Are these values too low?

What could be the possible reason for the drop in the oil pressure?

Thanks

Oil pressure is very sensitive to oil level and oil temperature. As either of these two things change, there is going to be some flucutation in oil pressure.

I'd keep an eye on it.

My car averages 60 psi cold at idle. When the oil is warmed up I see 18 psi also at idle. The pressure varies with rpm and engine load. I couldn't figure out what alarm kept going off and finally found out it was the engine oil pressure.

Anyone know what their cars run in the stock configuration?

What are your main and rod bearings clearanced at? If they're greater than .0015", then you should step up to 10w30

i found the culprit, unfortunately the engine shop did some mistakes during the installation of the Darton's. in one of the cylinders, they have taken some material around the oil passages and there is an oil leak now on that area. I'll look into repairing it.
