The spec for the tran's is the same... Very special.....
Sareb: Do not change type as it is very special... Drain and replace with Nissan Fluid - sure.. Go ahead - you are abusing your car daily... The fresher the fluid the better. Use the Einstien method at your dealer to totaly drain the TC. And replace with new Nissan AF Fluid. Don't just drain the pan, do the full replacement of fluid.. - you will sleep better.

The life of the Factory fluid is 100,000 as a daily driver.
Doing "bleach Burn-outs" your milage will suffer.. But use the Factory Fluid.

Quoting myself from the other thread:
The dual lock up clutch requires it's friction characteristic. Dexron won't cut it. It's possible that other oils will work but if you like your warranty stick with the J matic. Using anything else will most likely void your warranty in the event of tranny failure. If you're FI then you're probably voided anyways, but why risk it.
Plus the J matic is pretty good stuff. It's full synthetic. If you look around you can find it cheaper than the $12 per quart that some dealers charge.

Some Nissan Agency in your area "Should Have it."
It is much better than droping a few quarts, and having most in the TC unchanged.
If finding an Einstien Nissan Dealer.. You Might google Einstien Transmission the mechanical kit has adaptors for most cars.
