Default Extended warranty & FI...possible???

I know that the FI mod will void the engine warranty. However, has anyone removed the FI & put in a claim (ex. blown engine) & brought to a "friendly" dealer for a claim? Just wanted to see if it will be worth it to purchase an extended warranty? Anyone know of a "friendly "dealer in So. Cal....Performance Nissan at Duarte?

Nothing.....knock on wood.....just wondering for future....since it's cheaper to buy the extended warranty before the 36 month Nissan warranty expires. I am currently at 13,200 miles for a 2004....Quote below (warrantydirect.com):

Terms/Miles* $0 Deductible $100 Deductible
4 Years / 50,000 Miles $ 1,110 $ 952
4 Years / 60,000 Miles $ 1,172 $ 1,014
4 Years / 75,000 Miles $ 1,340 $ 1,155
4 Years / 100,000 Miles $ 1,479 $ 1,268
5 Years / 50,000 Miles $ 1,117 $ 959
5 Years / 60,000 Miles $ 1,184 $ 1,026
5 Years / 75,000 Miles $ 1,359 $ 1,174
5 Years / 100,000 Miles $ 1,503 $ 1,292
5 Years / 125,000 Miles N/A $ 1,728
6 Years / 50,000 Miles $ 1,129 $ 971
6 Years / 60,000 Miles $ 1,199 $ 1,041
6 Years / 75,000 Miles $ 1,387 $ 1,202
6 Years / 100,000 Miles $ 1,552 $ 1,341

* - Mileage is total on the odometer, years are measured from the warranty purchase date.

I wouldn't bother buying an extended warranty on a FI'ed Z... but if you do those prices blow. You can get the nissan one cheaper than that. I think I paid $725 for my 72 months/ 75k gold $50 deductable...
