make sure they are giving you a price with the FMIC and if it is the greddy kit you still need extra parts also installation cost will prolly be 400-800 more then a vortech.

One's a super-charger and the other's turbo-charger.

Depends on what setup you want.

They aren't that close in price. The Greddy kit installed with all necessary hardware will cost near $10-14K depending on supporting mods and what you already have installed. The ATI is a much cheaper install. There is a few thousand difference and lot more power potential with the Greddy kit. The $14K is if you go in there bone stock. The kit alone with fuel pump, harness, install and tune will cost near $9K. The guages, exhaust, test pipes, and clutch/flywheel will cost near $3K with installation. If you want to do an upgraded radiator, oil cooler, and change out all your fluids add $1K more.

umm good luck..the difference between the two is very different in all aspects, if you didn't know that maybe you should wait a little while before going FI.Do some more research on superchargers and twin turbos also the single turbo kits.

Could you explain more because I know where to get plenty of ATI kits for $5K. Also, the GReddy kit with intercooler can be found for near $6K. An ATI installation shouldn't cost more than $800-$1200 or so and you could really do that yourself if you wanted to. Do a lot more research and feel free to ask questions.

Sounds too newb to buy FI. Research more on this site and make an educated guess.

im in the same boat and im no newb....im thinkin if you arent after a major project and dont want 6 or 700 hp to the wheels, i think im going to go with the vortech....cheaper to install, not to many other upgrades required, and it gives you a solid 350 or more. if you were after a major project, then one would go with the TT...i think anyway, ive been wrong before, but who knows.

If FI don't get greddy, get APS there setup is more complete, ie fuel system and bigger injectors with fuel pump. Turbo is better...

Everyone is going to have their opinions, and mine is JWT. It is the best way to go. I would definately NOT recommend a S/C. TT all the way.

JWT isnt even an option for 80% of people since its a pretty localized kit.

some people have had issues with the JWT building boost too fast between 2000-2500 rpms. The ECU basically goes into a sort of limp mode. VRT knows about it and has experienced it on a couple cars.

as far as people being strongly against supercharger or turbo and strongly for the other, I dunno. It's pros and cons. Turbos sound great on paper and there's lots of happy people with them, but it doesn't go unsaid that they have their own set of issues to deal with. There's aspects of both that make each one good daily drivers in certain ways and aspects of both that make each one perform well at the track or strip. Just in different ways.

between the greddy and vortech though - they're total opposites in a lot of ways. But they are both the most aggressive sounding SC and TT kits out there for the Z in terms of BOV etc
