So the word has finally come down that my Z will return to me this weekend most likely. (It was involved in an accident with a deer about 6 weeks ago) They did some warranty work at the dealer I had my bodywork done at. The body work was top notch. (I'll have another thread about that with pics when it's all said and done). The warranty work was a new transmission, a new auto-dimming mirror and the fuel line recall. Also, when they did the transmission swap, they said that I could purchase and aftermarket clutch if I wanted and they'd install it for free. So I purchased a spec stage 3+ clutch and had it drop shipped to them. It was installed and then the bodywork from that accident damage was done. Yesterday I got to drive the car for a whopping 1.2 miles!
It had the old beat wheels on it and was out of alignment but I was just taking it around the block to see how the clutch was. I gotta say I like it a lot better than stock, much more grabby. Today the new wheels/tires go on (Rota P45s, Gloss black with the Red stripe Toyo T1-Rs in 265/35/18 up front and 295/35/18 in rear) and the car gets an alignment. Then when my bank signs off on the insurance check and sends it to the dealer, I should get the car back, we're expecting this to be about Friday afternoon so I'll have the car over the weekend most likely.
It will then have to be driven 500 miles for clutch break-in. Then it goes back for a check-up and state inspection/emissions. And then I will likely just drive the car stock for 2-3 weeks, get the windows tinted and consider upgrading to a Nismo Suspension kit.
By then all my f/i parts should have arrived. I purchased a used GReddy TT kit from a member here on the boards, with Emanage Ult., Type RS bov, and FMIC. After that arrives I will be picking up a walbro 255 fuel pump and a AAM oilpan spacer as well as a plenum spacer. I will be doing a custom true dual exhaust as well. The goal is about 375-400whp on pump gas with that.
Next step after that (as money permits) is a better radiator, aquamist and a Return fuel kit from AAM. I'd like to see somewhere around 450-475whp on that and then move one from there with some tricks up my sleeve for power.
Just figured since I'm so happy about getting the car back shortly I'd let you all in on my plans. Let me know if you have suggestions for me to add/remove to my setup, or any comments at all. Pics of the car to come this weekend most likely.
It's gonna be a fun Summer!!

BTW - this is the very cool guy who is selling me my GReddy kit.
I can't wait to see the car once it's all finished. It's going to look great!
