BTW...play around with your tire preasure as well since it does play a small roll w/ traction. As I mentioned, you just have to play around with all the components until you find the best combo that fits your car.

If not just buy the CCW i see alot of those high horsepower supra using those wheels on slicks.
There are cars with a lot more power then anyone on this forum and they are fine with DR. It’s the suspension that needs to be worked on. This guy is not going to be driving with slicks every ware. This car is a street car not a full time drag car.

wow.... Crazy stuff man.... Practice a bit more..... Traction will always be a issue with a high hp car..... Full race slicks are your best option for max traction or a 315 drag radial would help too.... Otherwise, just have fun on the streets..... Do freeway rolls like me.... Less stress on your drivetrain and just as much fun. lol.... I built my car for the streets.. not the track... On occasion that i do launch my car , my tire pressure is at like 18psi.... Launching at around 3k rpm... and it hooks pretty good...

I was at 19psi on the tires....It's crazy how much more my car burns out on the track compared to the street....Oh the street I hook on the 2nd to 3rd shift at the track I was burning out through all gears even into 4th had to let off..I almost hit the wall 4 times Marin...

No S H I T eh..Let me put it this way...On one run I literly burned out the whole 1/4 when I went full throttle...I was waiting for it to catch in 3rd or 4th and it didn't I went across the finish line sideways...I can't believe I ran what I did and traped what I did based on how sideways I got and how much I let off...

Sideways at 130mph? Damn, you're definitely a better driver than me.

you wont spin slicks if you heat them up right, thats a fact... drag radials suck. they are OK for the street but thats it

thats a 10 second car FOR SURE, get that power down where it needs to be, on the track. get some 28X 9.5 s and be done with the traction problems

no i dont mean to get the full ccw set and used it on the street just for him to buy a pair for the track with the slicks.

And about other powerful cars using DR's i know im just suggesting that i see those powerful cars using them so i figured it would be something that he can look into.

I havent heard any one talking about bringing the boost on in stages . I know a guy that has a Supra that runs 30psi of boost and he has it come on in stages . He said that running to much boost all at once is basicly useless . He said he has it come on like 10psi to 4500rpm then 17psi to 5500rpm then to 30psi to red line . He mentioned that he never could get traction trying to run the 30psi all at once no matter what tires and suspention mods he did . He is running the AEM , EMU and controling the stages with it .
Might want to look into some thing like that .

you're joking, right? with 700whp? drag radials be enough?

I think your runs answered your own questions

you need slicks in a bad way senior

i like the 128mph trap even more

with good traction running it thru the gears I'm thinkin we might see a high 130s, low 140s trap from you. SICKNESS!

Slicks are the answer. 128mph trap letting off is just nasty. Get some slicks and axles if you dont have them already and say hello to 130+mph trap and 10's.

I read the first sentence "We'll my car is undrivable" and I thought you blew your engine or crashed it and I thought OMG! Times are pretty nice! and with alignment correction and slicks I am sure you'll pop 11sec.

Time for full out slicks. DR's aren't any good for that kind of HP. I had traction problems last night with my relatively stock Z on 275 Goodrich DR's. Got better after I roasted the hell out of them at 18# of air pressure, but they were still slipping.

Just read some more of the posts. You can't hook up with the camber you have. Your whole car has to be set up for whatever racing you are going to do with that much HP.

Tire, suspension and driver/practice are what will hopefully make this car faster...

A 2.1 60ft isn't ideal - 1.6/1.7 is what you want to shoot for - That's 4-5 tenths that you're leaving on the table...

No doubt with a little tuning and tweaking this car will be in the 10's.
