I also would be a lot less concerned with a good 60'! Stock axles wont be too happy about that. You also have enough power to overcome that.

If you can get a 2.0 60' WITH TRACTION, then this car will easily see high 10's, and i dont see how anyone can argue that! 128mph trap letting off! C'mon now!

Very impressed, but obviously exactly what i assumed. People definitly are reading into the slicks thing a little too much. Ditch the eibachs or get some quality arms to reduce camber. And when you find them, let me know. I was gonna go with the kinetix myself, but Alberto doesnt like them, so im not so sure anymore.
I ran a 11.7@ 128 with a 2.1 60ft and sliding sideways into 4th letting off in 4th and coasting through most of the end of the track..oh and on that run I still picked up 30mph between the first and second half of the track...

see, thats rediculous. That is one powerful car. Your car is beyond needing to shift it precisously and getting a good 60'! You just need to get traction and clip through the gears.

Call me a skeptic, but if those issues were as bad as you claim you'd have never picked up 30 mph in the last 1/8. A scan of the timeslip(s) might shed some interesting information.

I wasn't talking about car control, I was talking about drag racing finesse. What you mentioned above might help you in drifting, but it's not gonna help you in the 1/4 mile (except to keep it off the wall).

Brian, you're dead sexy....sliding sideways down the 1/4 at 128 mph, damn, join the D1 comp :P :P

Bro, I wish I coulda been there I would have had camera in hand and been down on the track, that sushi I had last night and graduation sucked...So lets list your solutions....

-Softer suspension in rear?

-Fix camber

-Axles

-LSD?

And if you rub when you fix your camber, I'll bring over my rubber mallet and bang on your fenders like I did mine LOL.

Do you want him to give it 25% throttle down the entire track, lol, thats the only way he'll get traction, finesse isnt the issue, I think he just needs to do some adjustments to his suspension, I said this a while ago, most people that go F/I dont do much to the suspension/camber if at all....

My experiences in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Florida and California have all allowed for DRs to be cleaned, heated, and even over-heated ... staging guys have always been pretty cool unless it was a crazy packed Test and Tune Tues night or something. Sucks they don't let you have some good staging time in MD or you'd be showing us some 11.7s and better

Maybe this track is WAY worse than I imagine.

While better traction is the ultimate answer, throttle modulation seems to be the only way to get that car down the track at the moment. Sometimes I feel like he'd rather do a very impressive 1/4 mile burnout than actually try and turn a decent number. I've yet to hear him even close to what his dyno numbers indicate his car is capable of. I appreciate the difficulty in hooking up a very high-hp street car on DRs, but your 25% figure is an exaggeration.

I'm not saying I have the answers, but I know TURNING UP THE BOOST isn't one of them.

You are exactly right. During these "street leagal fun drags" the track is not prepped nearly as well as it is during the "test and tune" nights (when the serious racers come out); that said they don't even allow any cars 11.49 and better to run on these "fun drag" nights. I can personally account for cutting more than a 10th off my 60' on the test and tune nights.

Gotcha.

I know he mentioned he's been able to hook better on the street than the track, which shouldn't be the case if the track is decent.

Think about the wost track prep you've ever seen times two.....I'll get a slip scaned asap....as for 128mph trap what don't you believe...I was burning out on the 3rd to 4th shift and let off before the end and coasted through and had that mph...I was burning out and accelerating all the way down the track...As for turning up the boost..why would I do that...I don't even have a boost controler...during the day or 80degree weather my car boosts 20lbs...but at night and 70 degrees or less it boosts 23lbs I can't control that...my only halfway decent run was on 20lbs of boost 80 degrees and that when I did 11.7 at 128 letting off and still buring all gears...the next 2 runs when it was cooler and the boost was up I had to let up at half track...there was no point it was like I was on ice...literally...

Bri, I can't believe you didn't get this on video! Especially for your midwestern Z/G brothers who have nothing more than watching lawn tractor races and the Detroit Pistons crash and burn.

I'll go next time and video lol. If you havent seen them yet, go to streetfire.net, search for videos posted by atar350z and there are plenty of vids of Bri's car smashing, of course that was at the 500+rwhp, no 700 lol...

Infineon will throw him out if he makes any more than one erratic pass, but it is a cleaner track, he should do better there. A GN rolled over there three weeks ago Bruce.

I've been waiting to go down to Infineon as well, I'm down for any Wed. It's amazing how a well prepped track can help...I expect a low to mid 1.8 60' there while at Sac if I launch with more than 2k r's I'll spin... and that's on my n/a bolt-on car! (I don't give excuses however, only solutions)

come down on June 7, there will be a bunch of F/I Z's there that night. Even I got 1.9 60' there last night and I hardly know what I'm doing.
