Default Which FI System is Easiest to Put Back to STOCK on a 350Z?

Let's face it, no dealer ever wants to buy a car that is modded as a trade-in.

I am constantly trading my cars every year or two.

Which FI system is easiest to INSALL, REMOVE, & RE-INSTALL if need be.

I think the Easiest seems to be the ATI Procharger for the 350Z.

Actually the Stillen seems to be the easiest, plus you can retain your warranty, but that HOOD just turns me away from it, I think it is UGLY and also an additional EXPENSE.

Hmm they all are pretty easy if you want them to be. The best one would have to be Vortech with a oil pan spacer kit and wiring harness.

Let me get this strait.....

You wanna invest a **** load of money on installing and tuning a forced induction system in a car that your pretty sure you're going to get rid of anyway?

Tell me something.... Did you mother have ANY kids that weren't born Brain Dead? Do you have money falling out of your a$$ or something? Are you bragging that you can buy a new car every year? (I can do this too by the way and so can a lot of other folk around here.)

I have a idea... Why don't you just buy a faster car that you'll keep for awhile? That way you get full wholesale blue book value and put all that extra F/I money towards something else that you might want to become more invested in.

Havok-

Actually yes, myself and my sister are both Medical Professionals and my brother is a Teacher (OK, well he is not that smart, JK)

No, I don't sh-t money, but I do well, I just love cars as a hobby, not as an investment.
I have yet to build or own a car that made me say:
This one is a KEEPER!!!

Maybe the 350Z will be that car???

I don't mind losing money on cars, it is my enjoyment.
I don't drink, smoke, or waste my money on drugs.
I don't go on EXOTIC vacations, infat I don't go away much at all.

So, where do I spend my recreational money:

ON MY PASSION - My cars!!!

First off, you could have been a little nicer about the way you put things.
(I know the internet makes people act differently then they would in person)
I am not brain dead, I NEVER brag, and I have had FASTER cars that did nothing for me.
In fact, the 350Z is slower than almost every car I have owned, but I enjoy it MORE!!!

As far as a TON of money, I am in to Bang for the Buck.
I only put $3000 in to my 03 Cobra to get 492rwhp.
I only put $1100 in to my previous 03 Cobra to get 445rwhp.
I only put $600 in to my Viper to go from 12.3@118.5 to 11.67@120.56

My favorite car of all time is the 5.0 Mustang (it started me in to the hobby of modding).

I want to do a FI system that is inexpensive, easy to install and remove, and gives decent power (it does not have to be the fastest car on the road).

SO: DO YOU HAVE AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION???

BTW - I know you are only trying to help, but I am a lost cause.

Why dont you just give me the money to Mod my Z!! I swear i'll email you every day to tell you how it is.....!!! This way when you get another car the mods wont go to waste.. I wont be selling my Z....!!

Seriously though. Maybe you should wait for the GT-R coming out.., but you can still pay for my mods....lol...

Wow! In that case I guess I'm pretty impressed. Your Brothers a teacher? J/K
Anywho... I now understand where you're coming from a little better. I've decided you're NOT a "Lost Cause". However... You are a car enthusiast which is something I can respect. On the other hand... If you got rid of the Viper, you may need to be commited. That being said... Stick with any of the Intercooled Supercharging kits. HKS, Vortech, and ATI Procharger are among some of the good ones that I know of. You might also want to consider Nitrous(can't believe I just said that ) to fill in that missing torque you'd otherwise be getting from a half decent turdo kit. All of which can be uninstall in a day with hand tools and a few friends to do all the work. As far as having to alter the stock oil pan for oil lines and fittings. Don't do it. Buy an AAM Oil pan spacer or something like this> http://www.hopupracing.com/poenoilpanni.html.
Personally I thought about having AAM install the ATI Procharger + AAM spacer + JWT cams with all tuning via (my currently installed) UTEC and MAP. Nitrous only as a last resort.

Island -

Since the Z is my 3rd car, I really had a budget of under $30K, so a GT-R is not gonna be feasible, but a $6000 FI kit will.

Havoc -

I knew you would understand and THANKS for the GREAT info

I am really leaning towards the Procharger so far.

Good luck. Inexpensive FI for a Z?? compared to modding your previous cars, you can add up what you spent moddifying all your previous cars and you still won't be half way to a decent FI setup for the Z. Easy to install and remove? probably the easiest would be a SC. Now you have your last request of a setup that gives decent power. Decent is pretty subjective, but IMO, a SC doesn't provide decent power.

Good luck, but prepared to spend a decent amount of money on a setup that isn't all that easy to install and remove that gives decent power.

It wont be that bad but I agree it'll be more than $6000 for everything unless you're installing everything yourself. Now that I think about it.. It'll be more than $6000 anyway because the kit will cost about that much with shipping and then you'll still need to have it tuned. I still don't see it costing $9000 though. However I could be wrong... It's happened before. I'm only "God like", not quite God. J/k

OKay... I'll play your little game...

First of all...EVERYTHING you post above are supporting mods Einstien.
How many FI kits do you know of that don't already come with some sort of Engine Managment or ECU reflash? 0 that I can think of off hand. How many of those same kits dont come with some sort of fuel system upgrades? What sensors are you talking about? You think about that for a while and get back to me. Gauges and Upgraded clutch I'll give you. But both of those can be installed either before his FI upgrade or after and am pretty sure don't cost $3000+ unless he's considering on buying a full race clutch.
Yeah I'm sure that if someone wanted to they could find a way to spend $9000 or $50000 on a FI kit with all the bells and junk. But if he's looking to supercharge... Be for real. it doesn't have to cost that much.

How about we make a deal... You give me $7000 and I'll show you how it's done.

my estimation were based on having a Forced Induction Z that will run safely on a stock motor..

can you use the Unichip? sure
can you use the Greddy Emanage? sure
is the UTEC best that is most affordable right now? sure

do you need a return fuel system with forced induction? no
would it make your FI Z run safter? sure

let me ask you this? how much money did it cost you to put forced induction on your Z?

that ladies and gentlemen is the million dollar question of the day.
