The most comprehensive and accurate post. If you're lucky, you can get the full satin Vortech kit for a little less. I actually got a full polished kit for about $4200. If you like it, Zeintronix will address AFR, Boost, and EGT and will cost around $600. Everything else is pretty accurate. Keep in mind this is only 8 psi, which will leave you longing for more rubber and a better clutch in the near future. You can also upgrade to 9 psi with just a pulley, 440 cc injectors and a new tune all for about $800-$900 and gain about 40 to 50 rwhp and 30 ft/lb.

Keeping the car close to stock is a semi-ulterior motive for me too. Not because I want to unload the car in 1-2 years, but because I understand the value of a stock car to potential used car buyers. Hell, one time I refused to buy a used car because the guy claimed to have installed the stereo himself (and it didn't look very professional).

Good luck with the project, I look forward to seeing your "XXXXXX Installed, pics inside" thread with dyno numbers.

I may not know much about FI installs, but I've heard MANY testimonials about how easy the Turbonetics ST is to install, that would probably be what I would go for if I were you.

Yes, I didn't mean TN kit was easy like installing a popcharger. I meant easy like ... you can get it done with a friend if you have the proper tools, a service manual, lots of patience...

A LONG day at work and I come home to all this

I like the Turbonetix kit alot.

As far as the install, I have ASE certified buddies who owe me a couple of favors.

Not a Doctor, I just play one on TV, actually I am a Pharmacist.

<--Pharmacy school groupie

I would say got Turbonetic or Vortech.

The only problem with Vortech is that they went up in price significantly, youd be hardpressed to get a polished kit for under 5800 shipped .

Vash -

Retail is Hell unless you have a great tech who can basically do your work.

If that tech does not show up

Havok -

Did you have to provide that link?

Scary stuff, it does however make me lean more towards a Procharger.
