Talking TN Installed - I could fry an egg on my hood

Okay first of all I installed the TN kit .. and just the TN kit without any extras

my temperature is ok, but my hood is hot as hell I know the turbo gets very hot but should I be worried? , do I need to do some additional heatshield protection?

You could buy a vented CF hood. Or could have header wrapped all the exhaust piping. That will help. But aside from that I've run my car with NO header wrap and the factory hood for 30k miles now. No issues...

don't listen to Rob, he drives like a weenie.

wrap the exhaust pipes and don't worry bout the heat....it's gonna happen

Or, buy a turbo blanket kit from summit and wrap the hell outta the turbine side...or like he said a vented hood, but none of that is really necessary, I'd just say DEFINITELY header wrap all the exhaust piping.

That'll work. But a vented hood would be better...

Seibon VT hood will help a lot to reduce the heat.

If you're worried about damaging the paint on your hood, don't worry it won't happen.

+1 on the vented hood. With my hood and heat wrap/coating I'd guess my engine bay is just as cool (if not moreso) than stock.

Default Turbo Heat Wrap

Where do you buy the exhaust pipe wrap. It looks like you bought muffler repair wrap. The kind that you wind around a leaking muffler can. Is this actually going to keep the heat off of other components?
