You are in Fl. Call Japtrix if you want a local shop to take care of it. Otherwise just call GRD and they should be able to send you one

You would think it would/should be that simple but a lass it's not. I have been working through xxtuning (where I bought the kit) for over 9 days now. They have never heard of the problem (APS check valve/smoking). They say APS has never heard of the problem and then they finally shipped me the wrong part. All on my dime. I need to give them the exact part #.

I hate APS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe because its the wrong part that you are referring to. Some people have had problems with the aps check valve. the upgrade is an electric one and its well documented on these and the "other" forum site. do a search, print out the info and take it to xx. better yet, call tuan from grd. if you have any problems finding the info you need, pm me. i never had the issue myself but the problem should be an easy fix and covered as long as xx is an authorized aps dealer.

Well thanks but I have searched both the APS site and here for the part #. I am well aware that the issue has be documented.... hence why I am asking for the part #. I need to call GRD apparently.

I have personally called APS and they said what problem... typical for them.

Sorry that you are having a problem with those guys. it's no secret that one of the biggest problems with the kit is the customer support or lack thereof. hopefully since you bought it from an aps dealer grd can give you a hand getting the right part. peter and george have always answered my questions in the past, so if they are reading this, why don't you guys chime in and get this man his part?

and I had pointed xxtuning to here and described the issue. Then they ordered the wrong part, which I had to pay for because APS hadn't heard of the issue . Paid for express shipping and now won't take it back.

Fuking APS. I know some have had this part replaced with no problem but not me. Those people probably went with GRD too. GRD seems to have the ear of APS.

PEOPLE please don't buy APS. I know they make a great kit but service SUCKS!!!!!

BTW, Sharif and Eric have been trying to get me the part. They can attest to the hassle this has been.

Irshad is the person to contact with APS problem. APS listens to Irshad at GRD.
I received my electronic solenoid to replace the sh!tty check valve from Irshad. GRD didn't have the parts in stock, so it took them few weeks... APS is in Australia, so that's fine..

Currently, another problem has arrised (part failure), so I'm working with Irshad to get the replacement... APS wants me to ship the part to them so they can check with their own eyes... But this APS's policy is SUCH A PAIN IN THE @$$!!!! They can check my part AFTER I get the replacement part!!! If I take out the part and ship it, I'll be without a car for weeks! Also, I don't have tools to take it out on my own.. that means I have to leave the car in the shop for weeks until the replacement part arrives... What a hassle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that. That is an expensive part too. I think it was $400 plus install.

haha, it all sounds familiar.

if you guys remember, my pump was hooked up wrong because APS didnt tell anybody that the wiring is different. mine leaked from that point. i finally bought another one from a guy on here at a steal. they are around 350-400 at several sites on the net. but there is one place that weldon directed me to that repairs them for about 100.

and yes APS policy sucks. the whole send it to us first and let us look at it for a while. meaning, long downtime without a car. i guess what they say is true about australia, everything is upside down.
