Default turbo owners please help especially "jwt" owners take a look

Ok well I have about 7k to spend and i was thinking of going with the jwt kit for my 2006 350z. I have search and read up on turbo's and superchargers and come to the a conclsion that im going to have to go with a turbo kit. After riding in jaun turbonetics 350z and riding in Noah's jtw tt set up im leaning more to a TT set up. Although 7k is not alot i just found that the jwt kit cost 6150 from sgp. I thought that was a hell of a deal, much cheaper then the aps tt and only a few hundred more then the aps single my question is how many of you are running your jwt kits out the box or just with a clutch replacment cause i will only have extra money for a clutch a few gauges. Also if anyone thinks this is not a good way to go then what do you suggest.

you need to break down your pricing some more.. because unless you are doing the install and the gauges are some cheap autometer $40 gauges... $7k ain't going to cut it

What should be a ballpark figure to get a JWT kit installed on an otherwise stock engine, with just guages?

Not 7k, more like 9k+ installed, tuned, and done right, depending on the gauges.

PM me for more specifics.

When I'm ready, I know who I'll be contacting for my JWT TT! I won't PM you yet since I promised myself no more mods (for the summer at least...)

yea, its definately going to be more then just 7 grand. The kit and install alone, will be more than 7 grand. Look into getting a clutch/fly, gauges, gauge pod, intake manifold, exhaust, boost controller(not sure if SS EMS has control on boost), better wheels/tires, LSD, and optional radiator.
I was also considering the TT's..especially the JWT, but there where a few reasons why I didnt. The TT setups were more expensive, install is more expensive the TN, and I dont trust the Fuel system or EMS on the JWT...I also like the fact the the TN has just a little lag(still very minimal compared to 4cly turbos), therefore I wont have to be in boost while I am driving around town. But, no doubt in my mind, both would be fun as hell! If I didnt have a budget, I would build and go custom turbos

you only boost when you start accellerating hard... you can drive around town on any turbo kit and never hit boost

i figure if its 6150 for the kit 400 for clutch leaving me with 500 for gauges i thought that would be good? Like said this does not include install sorry for not being so clear in my post. thats a total of 7050 which seems to be pretty good.

So your looking to spend $9000 + or - a few hundred bucks installed. Isnt Juans TN Z an auto? Not to take anything away but why not ride in a 6MT and see how it feels? You could do a TN kit installed for much less. Im sick of people talking about lag all the time too, like your going to be out racing from 2000rpm's, its silly the TN kit on full boil can run with any TT kit at similar whp levels, Im running faster than all but a handful of TT guys many with more power than me-taking the ET out of the equation I still trap higher than many--I dont hear people in twins post up when they talk about running low 13's high 12's "Yeah Im happy with the 2500rpm TQ but I ran a 12.9 @ 110mph" Lol, again just my opinion, if your in kind of a tight squeeze you cant go wrong with the TN kit. This is not intended to start a flame war or TN vs All argument!

yeah we talk about this before im the guy with the white 06 we had spoke about one members car on here that was not tuned right at all when we were at the track. But your right i have not been in a turbonetics single turbo car that was a 6spd. On friday maybe i can bump a ride of ya at the little nissan gathering. The only other reason why i started looking at other kits is because turbonetics do not have the kits out for the 06 yet. I talk to you about the T.N kit before at the aam meet and like it alot i would have gone with utec instead of the flash and maybe a fuel return. but like i said before it wont fit my 06 so now im forced to look at the aps single, jwt, greddy, aps tt. which are the only kits to my knowlegdge.
