Default WTT 350z 3.3 FD with VLSD for 3.5 FD with VLSD with similar miles

I decided to put this here becouse i think it will get more attention.

Hey guys im AT and im looking to trade my 3.3 for some 3.5. I have VLSD so yours must have VLSD also. Another thing is the milage my unit has around 12,500 miles on it im looking for something with very similar milage. I just want a straight up trade. If in different area we both pay are own shipping, if local we pay r own installs.

Let me know thanks

I'm interested. I currently have 11,000 miles on my 3.5 w/VLSD. Have you done any research into uninstall/install costs. I'm curious.

No I haven’t but I was looking at it the other day when my car was lifted up for an oil change and I don’t think its that hard to do you just probably need some brut force to handle the differential but not major. I think you have to bleed the differential but if im not wrong the differential is held by 8 bolts on each side of the axle (if im not wrong) and like 4 from the drive shaft. And a few from the sub frame I guess.

I want to see if I can do this with a friend of mine let me know if you would like to do it. Try and see how much shipping cost. I know its going to be like at least 80 to 100 dollars

I am in the process of a swap. the uninstall/install you stated is roughly accurate. There is one wire connection to unhook, and a breather hose, but you have the jist of it listed. I shipped mine from MN to NJ for around 55 bucks via FedEx ground. the shipping weight of mine was 98.9 lbs. I kept my fluid in the unit, and just plugged the breather line on the top of the pumpkin. Good luck to you guys.

Hey thanks one question i got everything else correct so the only thing i was missing is the wire and the breather hose. Will the system get any air in it. Do i have to take out the sway bars or anything like that.

I hope he wants to swap with me cause ill just do it myself.

It's not a hydraulic system so it already has air in it..and it doesn't matter if the diff gets any more air in it. You might have to remove your exhaust (depending on which one you have) to remove the rear end.

I'm interested in a straight trade, but I have a lot more mileage than you do.

I haven't heard of anyone at any power level blowing up the rear end on a 350Z. Lots of road course guys have boiled the fluid from hard laps on the track, but I haven't seen anyone actually blow one up.
