To the tt or st guys with stock internals...

1) What turbo's are installed?
2) How long have they been installed?
3) What whp or psi are running regularly?
4) What issues have you encountered(blown engine, smokey turbos, etc.)?

I am very close to purchasing a tt kit, but I just don't have the money for engine build(I do have a spare long block). My better judgement tells me this is a bad idea(formerly owned 90tt with 450whp-lots of issues). I would love to hear testimonials from people who have gone FI on stock block with success. I do understand that proper install and tuning are key ingredients to engine longevity. BIG THANKS AHEAD OF TIME FOR REPLIES.

thanks for help, I actually read almost every post in that section(took almost 5 hrs), I remember reading about you're tn kit and kick *** 1/4 times. Unfortunately all that info would not answer my questions the way I want. This post was designed to provide FI prospects with tangible info.

personal advice if you get greddy get the J&S safegaurd very good product.

I'm in the same mindset as whip24lash. I'm considering going back to the evo (EVO 9 this time) and forget FI the Z.

for a little time the engine would dip way down in the rpms and even stall...sometime even while on exit ramps(FUN!!!!!) simple fix and slight idle bump and she's all good

4) What issues have you encountered(blown engine, smokey turbos, etc.)? I have had oil consumption issues with my car. Might be a smokey turbo, or just a leak somewhere. Its in the shop now so i guess we'll see.

12/04 @ 7200 miles = 345rwhp @ 5.5psi w/ E-Manage Blue and stock exhaust (on dynojet)
10/05 @ 23800 miles = 424rwhp @ 7.5psi w/ E-Manage Ultimate and 3" True Duals (on CP-Racing Corrected DynoDynamics)
07/06 @ 38500 miles = 434rwhp @ 9psi w/ same setup and wastegate dumps (on Forged Performance Uncorrected DynoDynamics)
10/06 = Today = 43000 miles
