Hey I was just checking my oil when I notice the nut that goes on top of the APS BOV was missing
I'm thinking this happen from the other night when I was changing my plugs I have to remove the piping on that side and some how the nut got loose and fell somewhere..
Anyways I've been driving it like this but the car didn't stall or anything..How bad was it driving without the nut on the top of BOV?
Anyways Im going to run to the local hard ware store and get a couple nuts I'm not sure what size is if anyone could insight me. Also when I tighten the nut how do I know when its set correct? and not over tighten??
Thanks.

dirtroad has been running around without his nut since day 1. We noticed it when we were trying to figure out why the BOV flutters. I really do not think its an issue. Mine has the nut and his does not, and we did not see any difference in the performance when we switched them from his car to mine and viceversa. I think your ok.

you're running with so much power now, you're blowing nuts off, eh?... tisk tisk...
heheh ... you can probably find a replacement bolt with the same pitch/length at a mom/n/pop store... home depot usually sucks if its a metric length..

ROFL...dirtroad has been running around without his nut since day 1
Anyways, the nut is a lock nut. So you should be fine without it for a while...but with time, the adjustment shaft might work its way out. I dont have the size with me, but I am sure a stop at the hardware store would get you sorted.

It's late..I've been working too hard setting up the shop...and my humor is diminishing rapidly.
Mine came loose and fell off the second week I had my kit on and I noticed an immediate peak boost and spool loss, plus my car threw a misfire code. A new nut fixed everything. From my experience, I'd say my car NEEDS that nut on there.
