Is it possibly to custom weld a BOV into an s/c setup? I know that some s/c setups have a bov already. But would, say an hks BOV sound the same and just as loud on a TT kit as it would on an S/C kit?

 

Not on a roots blower but a centrifugal blower yes. The BOV would sound very similar if you have about the same amount of boost.

 

I was gonna ask why not on a roots blower but realized why it can't be done. Good thing I thought about that huh? So do you think an HKS bov on an S/C would overcome the sound of the S/C?

 

what do you mean by "overcome?" you will still have the usual gear whine, but you won't have an always-open bypass valve when cruising. a greddy or hks BOV will only open up with a combination of manifold vaccum and pressure in the discharge piping.

The vortech bypass valve only needs to have manifold vaccum to open up.
