A/C blows hot, pretty sure it's turbo kit related

I've had my APS TT kit installed for about a year and 10K miles and today on my way to the gym I needed to take a phone call, so I closed the windows and turned on the A/C. It usually gets cold almost instantly while driving, but it just blew VERY hot air. Got to the gym and checked to make sure the compressor and A/C fans were kicking on and everything was working, so I didn't blow a fuse.
I know some people have had issues with TT kits and melting the rubber A/C line the runs along the drivers side of the motor, but I thought it was pretty much just cars that were run hard on a road course because of the excessive heat. It's been hot (high 90s) pretty much all summer here in Chicago.
Anyone else melt an A/C line with street driving on their TT kit??
I have a feeling this is going to be a real bear to repair.

Check the high pressure valve. There is a needle in it just like you car tire. Take the cap off and push the needle in. If you dont hear any air come out then you've broke a line somewhere.
time to yank it out!!! weight savings for sure!!
my air will probably be out soon, i will have all kinda AC related parts, let me know if you need anything and i wont rape ya on the price...

ok, now I'm really confused. BOTH the high and the low pressure lines have pressure in them. The compressor kicks on and the fans work. What am I missing??? Could it be my HVAC control inside the car since the air that blew out was REALLY hot?

could be the incabin air temp sensor. turn the a/c to full cold and try it. There are a ton of elec do dads that aid in the cooling of the car. If i remember right there is even a suload sensor in the car on the dash and so one. If you have had your dash apart the sensor in the drivers under panel ( under the steering wheel) might be disconected. Good luck!!!

i love how every thread i post on, i start off good, then drag it through the mud and end up talking about something that has nothing to do with what the original topic was, like this one time i was talking about elephants and then it ended up being more about nutswinging off the monkeybars while trying to keep my hands off the digital camera that has 15 button on top, one for each light setting....
Bri,
What is (was) the outside temperature?
AC will shut off as a safety valve if the car is overheating. If you live in Cali - It has been hot so this is what I would anticipate.
FYI:
The AC typically will only cool a maximum of 40 degree what you have outside. One of my clients was in Vegas last week, called "hey my AC is blowing hot air," Well, the Vegas Temp was 126 meaning the AC was blowing 86 degree air.
Hot.
Usually if you turn the AC completely off, insure you are moving So the AC condenser actually is receiving air, the AC should reset itself and cool another day if you indeed do not have a leak or out of GAS.
Try again.
Good-luck!

I really don't know how to troubleshoot an A/C system any further, so I might be stuck taking it to the dealer (which I HATE doing). oh well...
Car didn't overheat at all...in fact my coolant temps didn't ever go above 210 degrees...
Check your OBD2 software values you will find that an over heat begins at 200F when the ignition advance begins the safety retard program. 1 degree per 5F.

ok..that's all fine and good but my A/C always worked before with coolant temps over 200...and they are only over 200 for a couple seconds until the rad fans kick on @205F then they drop below 200...plus this is only while sitting in traffic. While crusing @ 70mph with 193-196F coolant temps the A/C still blew hot air.
Pretty much the only thing that changed from 2 days ago to yesterday was my A/C just stopped blowing cold air. Coolant temps are the same as they have always been and everything else is the same.

I'll probably call Tuan @ GRD tomorrow before I decide what to do. Maybe another one of his customers has had a similiar problem.
for infiniti, when you bring the A/C temp down to 65 you get cold air. any temp above that you get hot air. this is indicative of a loose sensor underneatht the driver side dash.
just like ryan350z stated. that's the only problem i've had with my A/C

hmm...even on full cold (I think it's 60 on the dial)...I still get hot air...I could check out this sensor possibly though. Thanks.
