It was what I originally though. The rubber line that runs by the driver's side of the motor was severed. Not by heat though. There was a little metal bracket that the line was rubbing on and it finally got through and created a small leak. I still haven't fixed it since it's cooler now. Plus my car is completely taken apart getting a full paint job, new headlights, windshield, etc. since a dumbass in an STi decided to wreck right in front of me @ 80mph spewing glass and debris all over the front, top and sides of my car.

pretty crazy huh?

Smile What Color Bri?

BriGuyMax

So what color will you paint the Car? At least you can have a better quality of paint than OEM.

Cheers Amy -

I almost changed the color but I decided to just stick with the original chrome silver since I really like it.

A shop that I've used for a long time now for any body work I've ever needed. My best friend worked there back in the day and they do absolutely amazing work. It's expensive, but insurance is paying, so I don't have to worry about the cost.

Ok, so give them a shout out so if I decide to bring my G to GRD, I might use them to repaint my bumpers during my build.

They do fantastic work...but you're probably looking @ around at least $1500 to re-paint both bumpers.

Brian, Yes check out CarMedics. They are fantastic. Eddie the owner is one of the best body guys and painters I've ever met. www.carmedautobody.com If you just need bumpers painted (stripped/sanded/prepped/etc.) Car medics will only charge ya around
$250-300/bumper. If you pay cash they are VERY flexible... If you went through insurance, the price would be alot more...

Yea it's pricey but it's literally the BEST bodywork and paint that I've ever seen and I'm VERY picky.

^ Well, if Insurance pays for it...why not!? BUT.. if you ever run into a situation where you need to pay out of pocket, you MUST check out car medics. Eddie not only matches paint flawlessly, he even used to teach paint @ 3M before....

Thanks guys for the heads up on CarMedics, I'll keep that in mind.

So Brian, what's the name of the shop and where are they located?

synth19 is your car up and running now? I've been checking chicagoz for progress but haven't seen anything. Did GRD build your motor as well?

It's Countryside Customs in Warrenville, IL about 15 minutes away from GRD...

Yes, car is done with built motor. Motor is still not fully broken in yet, only have 500 miles on the car mostly because I've been out of town taking a few mini vacations here and there... but next weekend I'm going to go on a road cruise with a bunch of the ChicagoZ guys and rack about another 500 by the time I'm back. So the dyno and tune will happen the week of September 25.
