Default TT question, i read above

Ok, i just read the "How to do the twins right the first time" post above and i have a question about it. Do you have to do all that crap if your just going to run the low boost that most kits run, 8.5-9 psi. Some of it like the head studs and main studs i can see as important, but do you have to build the whole motor just to drop a TT on it. I can understand all that if your going to be running 15+ psi. But i just want to run 8.5(for now) would i have to get lower comprestion and all that stuff, or can i just bolt it on???

built motor... stock motor... high boost.. low boost.. its all a risk... no matter what..

its if you want to take the safe route... the safer route.. or safest route..

get with a tuner in your area and find out whats the safest route for how much money you are willing spend.

obviously if the only way to do it was with a built motor.. everyone here would be running built motors or blown motors

the bottom line seems to be rods not designed to handle much over 360-400 whp... but each car will be a little different and many run over that level with no trouble. as stated - it's a higher risk to take a shortcut...
