I JUST pulled my engine. Started after lunch with it completely hooked up, did alot of drinking, when out for dinner, more drinking, engine was hanging on the cherry picker freely by 2am. If the two of us hadn't taken so many breaks, we could've had it done in just a few hours no sweat. By far the easiest pull i've ever done.

With a TT kit it should take a little longer, if your mechanically inclined not like myself, I don't see why you couldn't get it done in say 2 days or 10-14hrs.

i could pull the engine out of a Z in about 4 hours, start to finish. thats with handtools and jackstands, with the right equipment, even faster.

then you can have it back in and running in about 5 hours...

the first one takes a little longer but its all easy to do.

what takes longer than pulling the motor, is swapping all the accessories, damn there is a lot of stuff on there. just a swap though, two days should have both cars running...

D1, often the devil is in the details. Simply pulling out an engine is relatively easy. The breakdown, exchange, reassembly, and swapping of everything is the time consuming part.

exactly, thats why i stated that swapping everything takes a lot longer for sure. but, he said he will be pulling a turbo motor out and i assume he is trading the motor by the way he stated his first post...

That's a very good motor. I know its history, as I pulled it out of a customer's G35 in perfect condition...before he dropped in a forged motor.

We charge $2500 for an engine removal, basic breakdown, and assembly, then reinstall.
