Default NGK Iridium plug after 10K FI miles

Pulled a couple of my plugs today to see how they are holding up after 10K miles with my turbos. They are NGK LFR6AIX-11 one step colder iridium plugs

I've heard people mention that you should replace them around 10K and I wasn't sure why. I thought maybe with the rich A/F mixtures they might eventually foul out, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

So, should I replace them??

Here's a close up pic of one. They all look just about the same.

Those plugs look pretty good to me....actually a lot better that I would have thought!

I spoke to GRD about the 10K mike plug change schedule .....they thought this was way too aggressive, and your pix seem to reinforce that.......I am looking more at 1 set per year(annual schedule).

I would do the one year thing...but I'm just over a year now with 10K miles...

I have a new set sitting in the garage...but I think I'm going to give it until at least 15K before I replace them.

I thought about that...just to clean them up a bit and was looking for a second opinion. I think it's a go.

Brian, have fun replacing those especially on the driver side. I had to remove the whole cold pipe with bov assembly because that pipe is in the way and is mounted to the block. PITA!

Doug and inserting objects into the rectum area. You truly are a homo.

They look good to me... no need to replace. Spend the money on beer and hookers.

I'm the one who originally installed them Plus most of the rest of my turbo kit...I'm no stranger to wrenching on the car. Installing plugs is actually pretty easy...

He's always been a big fan of rectum.
