What does STD correction mean though? Is there a listing on what explains the factors?

404: uncorrected dyno numbers not found.

still a nice number though

SAE and STD are just different calculation methods for correcting your uncorrected dyno numbers to an atmospheric "standard". SAE and STD use slightly different atmospheric standards though, that's why the numbers will be a little different between the two.

The problem with this especially on turbo cars is that turbo cars create and artificial pressure level in the intake manifold, and thus are affected much less than an NA car which is reliant solely upon the atmospheric pressure to make it's power. The correction factor for a certain set of atmospheric conditions might be 5% for an NA car, but the correction methods (both SAE and STD) don't care whether your car is NA or if it is FI and creating it's own artifical pressure in the intake manifold, so applying a 5% correction factor to uncorrected dyno numbers of a turbo car would result in an artificially high HP reading (by a couple percent usually, though it can be quite dramatic in cases of really extreme - or inaccurate - atmospheric conditions).

For instance my car put down 369whp uncorrected, 376whp SAE, and 384whp STD (all with no smoothing).

TomCat

So it was your car.... I was there with Sam saturday night up until about 2:30am while he was working on your car. I loved that car. Something special about it.... it is soooooooo smooth...the engine purrs like a kitten...and the Fcon freaking ROCKS!!!!! Of course Sam knows what he is doing, truly..... I wish i just started modding and hadn't spent a pile of cash on failed engines....I would just take it to sam and have him work the magik. After seeing your car and Sam's work, I am looking for someone I can sell my right kidney to, so I can do it all over again.
.....seriously though, I am looking for stuff to sell that I do not need, so that I can pay for my Fcon.

Thanks!

yep, my baby has been amazing from day one. I had another Z before and it didn't feel close to the way she does. Even when I forst got the APS kit installed the guys at brainstorm told me how amazed they were how well my car responds and handles.
I can only imagine how it will feel now with the Fcon and after Sam's magic

I'm picking it up tomorrow...I'm sooo excited !

IIRC when Sam tuned my FCON, I was running about 14-15 degrees at pq tq and no more than 21 degees at redline. I am not positive though.

Nice work MRtomcat. Let us know how it goes at the track.

21 degress would be a lot of timing for 14-15psi! I doubt it was that high.
