Do you have a part # for the filter you use (in post #5) and did you have to make any mods to to the car or filter make it work?

i always wanted to use a domed style filter, but it does not come in the correct diameter.

correct diameter for what? they come with spacers to fit every diameter pipe, if thats what you are talking about

Yes, but if you put an 2.5"-3.0" adapter it will be difficult to fit the filter into the original vortech filter location. However, thats just my assumption. I will be testing it out with a dome filter i purchased on ebay.
