Mine did the same thing, un plug the ecu and start the car to see if both fans turn on. One of mine wasnt working. Replaced it and no more over heat.

nismo stat won't do a thing for peak temps. Just opens sooner.

you don't have any issue with heat without the A/C on?

Does the needle just rise? or do you have coolant spewing out?

The best thing I can suggest for overheating is a larger radiator and higher percentage water mixture. Beyond that, look at opening up the front bumper, keeping all coolers up front clean. possibly get an oil cooler

Are you actually getting cold air? Maybe you have air in the system? I have Greddy TT with stock cooling components on my G35 and don't have any issues. I run my AC just for the idle bump lol

I have no issue with the AC or or OFF. I have no heating issues...

Do a coolant flush? Add some water wetter?

Make sure you're fans are kicking on when the A/C is on. Otherwise thermostat issue or air in the cooling system.

you could try this... but considering the problem seems to be only when the A/C is on, I would think it is something besides the coolant. You need to check the fans, check the thermostat (though I don't think that is the issue), check to make sure coolers are clean and getting air

Bingo as i bet the fans arent coming on when you turn the ac on.You either have a bad relay or rad coolant temp sensor.

My guess is air in the cooling system. If the ac fan wasn't coming on your ac would work poorly but would usually not cause an immedaite overheat issue.

Did your problems start after installing the ams rad?...
Must be air in the cooling system..
Who did your install?

run the car with the coolant bleeder valve open till it starts to spew coolant out. you'll see air bubbles come out of there then straight coolant. then tighten valve. see if that fixes it.
