1/4 Miles Times - Turbo Auto...
Can anyone estimate the quarter miles times with an APS ST Auto?...with the APS exhaust, APS plenum, high stall torque converter and valve body upgrade?
I am considering doing this with an auto I may purchase, the end cost with all the above being around 31k (includes the car).
Thing is I like the Crossfire SRT-6 (please no flaming, I know most of you hate this car)...but I can get one with 2k miles on it, perfect condition, 25k. There is a Renntech kit that people are seeing 12.6 1/4 times, which cost about 3k.
Thing is this car is like 30min away, where as the Z is about 1500 miles away...so I have to fly there, take a day off work and so on. Just want to make sure it's worth it.
Thanks for any advice...

Get a used 350z, probably spend like 19-21/22k, then drop another 8-10k for the APS goodies, install, and all goodies needed. I don't know too much about the Crossfire, but I simply prefer the looks of the Z. You have GRD around the corner, so they can take care of your FI needs if you get a Z. Btw, you may want to send a PM to jonezzz, also from Chicago with an auto and APS ST. As far as the 1/4 mile times go, it is possible to get low to mid 12's if you are a skilled driver.

Yeah, the 31k is with the used Z (2004 with 20k miles) I am looking at. I already got the quote from GRD. Just wanted to see what 1/4 mile times I would be looking at and if the risk/extra time is worth it.

my best with the APS ST and 6MT at 2,200' was 12.515 @114. that was June in Las Vegas, so you can cut about .5 second or so for Chicago.
not sure about the AT, though. get a stick.

Well i hate to say it but 25k is a good price on that car. Sticker on those was what 50k? Factory S/C and the slk32 puts 400 down easy with the same powertrain. From a sheer performance standpoint with cost involded I would buy the srt.
