Are there any automatic guys out there running FI. How does the tranny hold up? Can you hear the blow off valve?

their are countless threads on this but not to make you search yes each day their r more and more we r finding out that the AT tranny is stronger then we thought it was, its rumored that if your tranny is in good condition and you add a vb, torque converter, and tranny cooler it will hold up to 550 rwhp with out having to upgrade the clutch packs. btw welcome

 

yeah I got the TN Kit with 5AT tranny..... I've had the kit installed since april..and up to now everythin great

 

Over 48,000 miles on my 2003 "Tour" 5AT. Better than 22,000 of those miles are with Vortech SC. NO PROBLEMS! Yes, as pointed out on a previous post, you hear the BOV when you let off the gas.

 

yes because this is when the vehicle shifts in auto mode...

 

Yes the trannies do hold up to a certain amount of abuse, if you are drag racing and beating the crap out of your car, you might also want to do a valve body and torque converter upgrade, but yes as other people stated you do hear the blowoff.
