I want a ST TN Kit and here is why I am sold. I would have one now but I am waiting for the Revup release for my 2005 Anniversary.

1. It appears to be the best bang for the buck.

2. A lot guys on this site use it and really like it.

3. Its has the potential to deliver over well 500whp with proper tuning and boost controller and ect. (It would be wise to build your engine at this point)

4. Its a simple enough kit that I can install it myself and remove it if I had to. No need to pull the engine or chop up the car. Its bolt-on; I read the installation manual several times already. I got it from Alberto (great guy, knows his stuff)

5. Turbonetics really stands by thier product. Great support and 1-year warranty.

i have a vortech

I'd want the one that best suites my needs which is still currently the vortech.

If/when I blow my engine, I might consider a TT, but am probably more likely to build up the vortech setup even more
My options I think will be doing a normal short block build, sell the vortech and buy a TT
or
upgrade the vortech to a T-trim blower, and put the rest of the money into building up the engine even more with ferrea valves and dartons sleeves bored out to 3.8 liters

I'm pretty confident that 500-550whp and 430-480tq is possible with a T-trim blower, built 3.8 liter bored engine with ported heads, 10:1 CR, race gas and water injection, 268 cams and reving to around 7500 with ferrea valves. That's about as far as I think I'd want to take it. Any more power and it'd time to consider trading off handling which I refuse to do with this car

I think including "what people want" in the poll makes it all the more useless, the more I think about it. Everyone would want twins in a perfect world, what everyone actually HAS is a different story.

yeah, i was hoping people would vote realistically. Ofcourse everyone really wants TT, but will they ever get them?

I voted SC because is more than likely what I will get but ofcourse in a perfect world id have a built engine with TTs..

are the people with twins actually faster though?

seems that they're generally marginally faster than other kits with the same power levels. For example Albero's TN setup at 400whp could go faster in the 1/4 mile than TT cars with more whp - granted a lot of that is his driving, but I'm not conviced he could drive a 400whp TT Z any faster than his 400whp ST

The only advantage I see the twins having is higher hp potential. Otherwise the only thing I can see as an advantage is a faster spool up and a little more weight and more expensive install and two turbos to have issues instead of one
otherwise I guess I'm assuming people want twins for the big power levels

even people with huge 600whp are doing the 1/4 at mid-high 11's as they spin the car sideways thru the finish line (ok I'm mostly exaggerating). But their trap speed is really high so that makes everything ok though right? I mean, it'd be just awesome if you could do the 1/4 mile in 15 sec @ 170mph wouldn't it? It'd still be a 15 second car until you put some big old slicks on it and get a good driver. Otherwise dynoqueens are always the cool thing huh?

Or people racing on the highway start flooring it and spin in 3rd and 4th gear... Some people are addressing the lack of traction with high hp cars. Others just want the bragging rights about how in a perfect traction world their car is faster than a stock Z06 or viper

#3 is incorrect. With the stage 1 you would likely make 450whp at best. Just keeping it real peeps!
