I've used the search feature but can't find any good threads.
I only want to up the boost on my TN kit a pound or 2 and it seems that a manual boost controller like the TXS one will work well.
Anyone have experience , good or bad with these units?
I see that alot of companies have them.....TurboXS, TurboSmart, Turbonetics, etc.
thanks for the input.

i'm using a no name mbc and its working great for me. Great boost stability etc. Tough it doesnt have the advanced functions like fast boost build-up like some EBCs which control the wastegate to build boost faster. still my go is mbc

I use the hallman evolution RX which has the extension to bring it inside the cabin for easy adjustment. I love this boost controller.
I have used greddy and the HKS EVC and kick myself everyday for spending the money on those 2 when I could have just done the Hallman in the first place.

Reading the manufactor's writeups for EBCs they sound great, full of features, then read an actual technical review (not a re-vomited manufactor's wrightup) and they just aren't as reliable or functional as they claim. After I read a few reviews I went MBC, simple is better. Hell, you can make one from home depot parts if you are really short of bucks.

Thanks for all the posts. I had never heard of the Hallman unitl today....and that's what I just ordered! The Hallman Pro RX. I like how the PRO RX has the lightweight spring option and light ceramic ball. It sounds like it is perfect for my needs; I only want to up the boost 1-2 psi. Using the lightweight spring, the controller will only precise adjustments up to 5 psi. It you want more, switch to the stiffer spring (also included.)
