I highly suggest running a search on it in order to determine why you should avoid that kit like the plague.

I'd much rather bore it out to 100mm, sleeve and DEstroke it, in order to decrease piston speeds and rev it higher for a wider powerband

the only reason I'd consider it with the vortech is belts seem to snap beyond 7500 rpms

so if stroking it lowers a theoretical 8000 rpm redline with ferrea valves etc, then it might be worth it

then again, it'd mean slightly slower time to rev longer rods, but you'd get more torque to more than compensate for it. Then again, you want to quickly get into high revs with the vortech, but then yet again, it's low end torque isn't that great so this would help that... dunno have to wait and see how it turns out, but I'm thinking it'd compliment a vortech well

People running bores as large as 100mm is kinda scary to me. Think of the thinning sleeve liners and you side to side stress on the piston rises exponentially with a larger bore. Why do you think most of the big dog tuners over seas are keeping the bores pretty close to stock.

have you ever seen a Pro stock piston? They are much largwer than 4.00" bores. hell, a 4.00" bore is small block stuff. Any those pro stock 500 c.i. motors are spinning upwards of 10,000!!!!

Yeah there are alot of motors with bigger bores in racing but none of them are expected to last more then 1000miles at the most.

sharif with 600+whp has a 100mm bore
he's not recommending it at this point until it has proven reliable, but he's still punching 600+whp into his engine. So is 350zDCalb

no i was trying to say that so far the 100mm bores seem to be holding up ok - probably well past 1000 miles and that's with 600+whp

I was talking about the racing motors. pro stock, etc...

I think the vq35 with a 100mm bore will be fine for allot of people but the ones that are harder on the motor, rev higher, making 600+ are going to be good indicators.

Sharif's and 350dclub's motors will be good signs of how it will pan out.

Almost none of them are running forced induction of any kind, let alone going for massive power. In Japan especially, NA tuning it where it's at on the Z, not FI.

As for he sleeving method,so long as a proper sleeve is used and installed properly you won't run into any issues- the blocks are robust enough to handle it with ease.

The BC stroker is new to the market but is a really nice kit by all appearances - built to order right now so there is a wait but nothing like the wait was with AEBS
