build up time
ok guys...ive finally got most of my parts for my Turbonetics build up
so far i have:
Wiseco Racing Pistons
Walbro fuel pump
Eagle Rods
Cometic Gaskets
APR studs
AMM Stage 2 fuel system
RC 550 injectors
Im just wondering if i have enough to be able to handle 500whp...i know i need more things such as a new exhaust, upgraded tranny(i have an auto
), tuning, maybe a bigger oil pan, and radiator.
Let me know if im missing anything...i want the install to go as smoothly as as fast as possible. Im gonna do everything at once sometime in November/December when i stop driving my Z.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Preston

look up pi-thone grip hose clamps I bought them and will use samco hoses together they will look sexy.
You can order the clamps specifically for the samco hoses.

Why spend $2000 on an AAM stage 2 fuel system, when the TN Stage 1 maxes out at around 500whp and the AAM stage 1 ($1000) is good to 600-630whp?
Also Id do HKS headgaskets over Cometic headgaskets, spend $100-120 more now while its all apart

HKS[ may not be needed for 500 whp..but then again 200 bucks is nothing at this stage...
as someone already said the koyo radiator + stillen oil cooler woudl be nice too link+ oil pan spacer + utec or unichip(cheaper option since you can control boost with this) =]
clutch+flywheellink0( or auto valve body upgrade link1)....
all gauges link2
..... ... with the TN kit its hard to reach 500 whp, so consider cams link3 and plenum spacer link4 ...
also what exhaust are you running... the JIC works very well with teh tn kit

I bet with cams and some good head work you can get a little more than 500whp out of the TN kit.. JET got about 450 with no cams..Although the power drop at 5400 suckzors
Soooo... your telling us there are rumors but you refuse to say what they are?
NICE !!!!!! I thought you were one of us !!!!!
What is the market price of a Greddy TT with intercooler go for? I heard the Garrett oil seals last more than 150mi. Is that true Alberto?
There is rebellion brewing among our ranks!!! Turbonetics mutiny I smell?

New water pump (might as well do it while your in there)
Nissan engine rebuild gasket set
Headers (Alphawerks)
Possibly a new wastegate (you may have issues)
HKS head gaskets
SVRT head support mod
SVRT solid engine mounts
UR pulley set
Remove thermostat
Deatschwerks 550 injectors
And you still will not get near 500whp. I have all of the above. I have 460whp and my engine stops making power at 5400 RPM
If you want an honest 500whp you will need the GT-K turbo (if one ever actually ends up a customers hands. Extreme Patience seems to be a virtue here concerning this subject.)
Don't bother with cams and head work. You should be able make 500whp with the elusive GT-K turbo and other mystery mods.)

you'll find the Greddy kit for around 6200 with the intercooler....
Just take it easy Jet, you will be able to get things going here soon... GTK out for sale next week, and stage 2 details out next week as welll per Robert... twins are nice but they are not the pure solution to your problem, plus you might end up spending a hell of a lot more.
AS you might have already looked at the piping but if you have also looked at the piping in custom single turbo kits out there, there are a few pipes that need to be bigger, and others to go in a better direction for better flow.

ok i just ordered a stillen radiator and a Power Enterprise oil pan...now im looking into the valve body upgrade.
After seeing that the TN kit wont make the power i want, ive decided to go with twins so im gonna be selling my kit and going with a greddy twin turbo.
(anyone want a TN turbo kit?)
