Default trouble deciding between turbo kits

i am new not new to the forums but recently signed up, now i am no stranger to turbo cars and know that this is mostly a matter of personal preference, but i am curious to see what people think is the better kit, the power enterprise tt kit of the turbonetics single.
i have an 03 touring and an 06 motor that i am building outside the car so that i can build this motor and then swap it in with little down time. i used to own an srt4 that made 427whp and 458ft-lbs. on 93 oct., i got rid of it and wanted to build something different so i got a z, and i absolutely love this car.
anyways just wanting some diff opinions.
thanks

go pe, especially if you're looking for high numbers. t-netics does have a new line of turbos on the way, maybe you would wanna look into that.

PE for high numbers? the PE turbos are tiny.

You want good big numbers? Greddy TT.

or if you want the single turbo variety, Turbonetics stage 2 is coming VERY soon.

+1 You can also look into the APS standard kit for 600 or slightly more whp and the APS extreme if yuo want even more.

The PE turbo's are realistically good for maybe 550whp and Id doubt it could do that. When they say 650hp its crank hp not whp....

Regarding TN Stage 2-official info hasnt been released yet. You can call all you want you wont get any specs, dyno numbers, or pricing. They said SEMA would be the debut of the kit, more like of the GTK turbo's as I've heard nothing official released yet. Just be patient with this as these things arent done quickly, believe me when they do release Stage 2 info people will be all over it....

I am currently in the market for the Turbonetics kit now, anyone know much about this stage 2 kit "coming out soon"? What are the differences? Will it still use the OEM header? I searched for specs but to no avail....
Thx, Sean

There are no specs on the Stage 2 yet. Turbonetics has released SEVERAL products this year. Just because the Z/g kit got delayed doesn't mean there are just sitting around doing nothing. Other projects had to be finished and in all honesty the Head of R&D wanted to use a GT-K turbo for this kit and they weren't going to be done till now. All that being said it depends on what your ultimate goals are. I personally like my Turbonetics kit (and have for over 40k miles now).

You know your going to have to swap the heads, lower manifold, timing cover, and some other little things off your motor onto the 06 motor your building right?

There is also another turbo kit that was not mentioned:

http://www.speedforceracing.com/prod...35turbokit.php

In January this kit will be offered with twin GT-K turbos. Right now it uses Turbonetics standard and ceramic ball-bearing turbos. This turbo system is designed to produce tremendous amount of power on built short blocks. It makes pretty huge power on a stock short block too

Tims system does have the most power potential of any of the kits as you can get about any turbo you want space permitting.

TurboTim, does the engine have to be removed to install your kit?

i bought a new fully assembled motor, the 06 motor that i am building is a complete long block with even the valve covers, intake plenum and everything, then i dissassembled the motor, so that i could get an idea of what i could and could not do myself, the valves are a pain to get out of the heads, i had to wait for the snap-on guy to get to my house so that i could buy the valve spring compressor, then i had the valves out in like 5 mins. i plan fully building this motor, sleeves, larger valves... the whole 9 yards.

Absolutely. Thats why I asked his goals. For a kit that is capable of 1000hp+ out of box the Speed Force Racing is the way I would go...

The JWT turbo kit is under development right now too. I know one of the guys around here had it put into his G-35... but it's not on the market yet... could be curious to see how it compaires to the TN, and greddy.

Huh? It's available through JWT-certified installers, you just can't buy it and self-install yet.
