Ok so I started my own battery relocation kit/install today and here is how it went. This is what I used and what you will need if you want to try this yourself. Took me about 3 hours to do. Parts and prices are.
10FT 2GA copper wire (home depot) $18
Battery tray and Battery rods (Autozone) $5
4 Nuts bults (Home Depot) $4
Drill
Total $27
First took the battery out and ran the copper wire under where the battery was. Down a hole behind the wheel well.
Ran the wire along the bottom of the car all the way to a hole in the trunk.
Make the copper line taught and succure it to the positive plug where the battery was.
Now I took this thin metal plate off before I drilled but you don't have to.
Next mark your hole where you want the battery and start drilling.
Now put the nuts and bults in, I used molley screws.
Now the finished project.
Good old 1972 Black and Decker.

Well I went to the track this past firday And I did not get into the 11's. Track was packed could only get in 2 runs and to me that is not enough time to get use to these slicks. Here is the vid going back wendsday to try again at the 11's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uvig7QCEzuw On both runs got a horrible launch and braked. Hopfuly do better tomorrow. I also could not get a proper burnout happening.

Well I went to the track and finaly got a 1.9 60ft!! I got a few of them. Best I did was a 12.35@110mph. the funny thing is when I get a good launch my trap speed seems to suck. Is it my shifting? I did a very bad launch and trapped a 117mph on one of my runs. Whats going on? Heres the slips for study maybe someone out their knows the answer to this.
Also it seems that I might not get into the 11's yet. My thery on this is maybe I need a better suspension and give a 1" lift on the front. I believe if I had less hp/TQ I could do better at the track but I might have to much tourqe for the stock suspension. So I'm going to pick one or the other here let me hear what everyone thinks I should do. Get a better suspension, Get a retune with a high boost and a race fuel map +100hp or so, Or get some nitrous. Ether one of these will get me into the 11's. What should I get?

What rpm were you launching at this time? Were you spinning or hooking off of the line? Were both tires getting heated during the burnouts? Raising the front end 1 inch isn't necessarily going to give you any advantage. One simple trick you can try is disconnecting your front sway bar for more weight transfer. Are you going there with a full tank of gas or is it almost empty? What does your car weigh in at on the scales out there?

2. Could not tell but mostly hooking up good.
3. most of the time they would spin together but I think a few times only the passanger side would burnout.
Will I just think the front of my car is a little low for proper weight transfer.
I did hear about disconnection the front sway bar from a mustang guy at the track, Does it really help? Would the car not feel even more funny at the other end of the track?
4. Mostly empty
5. Have not weighed the car yet but guessing around 3100?

Also the car was at 17psi when I did the 1.90 60ft. Did not get any better as I lowered the pressure to 15psi. So I'm really liking 17psi because I get an ok launch and it feels good at higher speeds (more control).

Dude! My car is 3250 full interior except stereo. With 400 ponies. I know your car can do better. Whats weird is your trap?? You should be trapping 120 at least. I trapped 120 once... once with my weeksuace, slow a$$ car. Keep at it you onlt get better!

3) I've tried with the sway connected and disconnected but it didn't make a huge difference. My problem however is power, not traction/weight transfer. I don't have the power to keep the tires spinning without bogging. Might be worth a shot on your car and it only takes a couple minutes to disconnect it. I didn't experience any more instability at high speeds-if anything it might help loosen the front end to match the looseness of the rear end now that you're running the et streets. Your sways shouldn't be doing anything at high speeds in a straight line anyway, unless you had some preload on them(which you don't want anyway).
I think you should let me take it down the strip a few times. It's hard to diagnose over the internet!!

Sure, whenever you want to go. I want to invest in a good LSD. Maybe the nismo? Maybe some better chamber arms? What do you think? Also what RPM's do you shift at? I shift around 68-6900 is that to high? Maybe a 6600rpm shifts would be better.

I love my camber arms-do you ever plan to do any autocrossing or road courses? The SPL rear arms should be released soon I hope. Are you looking to reduce compliance in the rear or just looking to bring camber back to zero for a flatter tire contact patch?
I shift around 7k usually, give or take. Looking at your dyno your power drops off after 6k so I wouldn't bother to rev it much past that. I'd say 6300-6500 shifts should drop you back in a nice spot in your powerband.

Thats what I was thinking, maybe I'm just shifting to high. Maybe I should try 66-6700rpm shifts. I might try going back to the track next month somtime I will let you know.

I got a 1.79 60 ft with an open diff. I guess once you practice more you'll get better. As for your shift points: Your dyno chart may aid in helping you see where you need to shift at. All my power comes in at 6k, so I rev past it so I fall into a sweet spot on my curve when i shift. Just sounds like you need to go on a less busy day and get your car dialed in. and as stupid as this may sound, there is room to gain, along with consistency with a shift light. I think youll hit 11's soon once you get more practice with the slicks, and then your shift points. Are you going into 5th gear at all?
