Default Finally put the APS EXtreme on and tune it.

We just finished it up and it looks great. The kit fits very well and you don't have to relocate a bunch of stuff. To us that was a big deal because most domestic turbo kits don't fit very well. Anyway, I had to order the 5.9lb spring because it isn't a built motor yet. The car has almost no mods except the aps extreme, 3 inch exhaust with cats, and a utec.

I think the numbers were not that bad with 5.8 to 5.9 psi the whole way through the pull. It's also a 5at.

5.9 max psi

353RWHP
339TQ

We will start tuning next week with higher boost levels

The utec. I like it alot. I was really getting worried when people were having trouble. But it works great. We road tested it and it drove like stock.

BTW thanks.

Thanks for the help.

You are right the utec is a very nice tuning tool. I wonder why alot of the shops around here hate the utec ? I will be calling you for a couple more utec's this week. There is a few z's coming in for turbo's this week .

Yes, I put a trans cooler with a fan and the vb. But, i have a few tranny's we have been working on a tranny dyno. I want to see the limits first of the stock stuff.

Probably becuase they have experience with the Suburu UTEC, rather than the 350Z UTEC. They are entirely different animals, with respect to fuel control.

Do they not work very well with Suburu's? But that explain's a little.

The Suburu UTEC uses a MAF offset to control fuel, rather than 100% control, like the 350Z UTEC.

I will call you for sure dude. I will be needing alot of stuff come the new yr. We are going to road tune it today. I will turn up the boost as soon as everything is tested out right. How much timing can these engines take on a stock engine say 12 psi? I will use race gas for safety. What have you seen these things hold up to power wise?

Timing is different from car to car..Basically advance it until it just stops making power with no knock.
