Going F.I...! APS tt or Vortech SC..?
i Have the rev-up 06 and looking to go force induction but i'm not sure wheater to go turbos or supercharge.. if any systems, i would prefer these two.. either the APS tt system or Vortech's Super Charger... i had a turbo car and i love the kick it has but i've never driven a SC car before but have heard great things. Vortech is my choice because of the potential 115+whp on low PSI and is street leagal, but i heard it sounds loud and crazy.... ne ways i'm going for one or the other but i can sure use other's point of views and thoughts... so whuts up my gear heads..... help point me in the right direction
Wrong forum. Information about forced-induction is in the forced-induction forum. How about spending a couple of hours reading before asking Which is best?

This is kind of funny to me. You picked the most expensive turbo kit to the cheapest supercharger. Which the supercharger is still good though. The happy medium would be Turbonetics for the power you want plus you get the torque that the supercharger wont give you.
Considering where you live the supercharger is best for emissions.

they're very different kits
out of the box, you'll enjoy the APS a LOT more, but you'll have to pay about 50% more for the kit and installation. It's almost OEM in terms of being hidden and quiet. The vortech needs more attention and a lot more things done to it to really get it set up where it's not very noisy and makes a good amount of power

i imagine also if he is considering between a turbo and an s/c its also the safety factor, in which the vortech woudl be a better choice... plsu the kits is cheaper and way easier to install

I have a 2006 with the Vortech kit and I run 10lbs of boost (2.87 pulley) and
I love it. It does rattle a little at idle, but not enough to bother me. Also if
you are ok with a wrench, it is a easy self install. I did mine in 7 hours start to finnish on ramps by myself. Also living in Socal, the CARB exemption is
a must.

They are a different league in terms of quality and performance. If you can afford the APS, I would pick that hands down.
I have owned both kits, and the APS is a different league in terms of quality and performance.

If the installation done at an aftermarket shop costs approximately 2G's ,
do the savings offset the ability to have a professional do it AND be reponsible for the end result?? Just curious..thnx
