Default Pistons and rods

If my 350z aps tt has more than 450whp on a stock block, what would you change on the inside? I am going to install a stroker kit within the next two years, but for now, is it good enough to just install stronger rods and pistons?

Are you doing the work yourself? If you're having it done by a shop, it could save you alot of money to do it all at once. The labor is pretty expensive.

The answer depends upon your HP goal. Do you plan on keeping it at 450whp or go higher?

I wish it were that simple. Changing rods and pistons entails an entire shortblock rebuild and the associated labor. So doing this now, and then doing a stroker kit later will result in a pretty heavy bill.

Like Ron mentioned, define your goals, and then start planning and saving. Do everything at once to maximize your dollars.

The kit is being installed on week after newyear. I am hoping that it will reach 450whp(more than possible). 480whp is my goal. Next year in march brakes and springs and wheels. 2008 stroker.
So can my standard block survive for 1 or two years on 450whp? ( I drive it only in the weekends on low boost. Drag racing once a month on high boost)

It may or may not; you can only do some things to help reduce the risk of blowing it. It also depends on how much you want to do to reduce the risk and how much you're willing to spend. At a minimum, make sure you get a good install and tune. I'll let the tuners chime in on other things you can do to help. Good luck!

you don't need a stoker kit for massive power.

So If I have a raised rev limiter (7200) and want stronger rods would it be as simple as just buying a set and having a shop install them, or would it be more detailed than that? How much would this cost?
