Default OEM AT Radiator serve as oil cooler on MT?

This may sound silly, but why couldn't the radiator for the automatic transmission be used in an MT and the transmission cooler portion be used to cool engine oil?

Related for the parts experts, what are the fitting sizes for the auto trans cooler fluid lines?

Just a thought I had. Thanks for your input in advance.

Because your oil is already cooled like that. It just doesn't have the core in the radiator. Coolant circulates around the oil filter housing. I don't think it would be any cooler imo. But I could be wrong.

I have always bypassed the radiator coolers and used isolated coolers for AT and Engine oil period. No sense in trying to cool a liquid in an already 200 + degree atmophere

Yes, the factory cooler has been discussed to death. Basically, it is really an oil warmer - it gets the oil up to temp quicker. As for cooling, not very effective.
