I just looked, did you remove the hose and leave the piping as is, or did you cap off the opening in the intake piping with something?

I asked him the same question in a PM and he said that you have to cap/plug the piping.Do Not leave it open.He went to Loews and got those things that go on the bottom of chairs and used that to cap it off.Size was 1.25".....He described it as a rubber type of plug.

Yes, cap it off, or you'll be pulling in unfiltered air.

Thats correct, Go to lowes and if you go in the "hard to find parts" section there should be a section for rubber sliders for chair bottoms worked perfect and I even used the remaining clamp just incase but the rubber cap alone fits tight.

About the A/F no change at all, runs exactly the same with better idle and a louder POSHHHHHHHHH!!!

Just completed this mod.

Idle is much smoother.

I was expecting the blow off to be way louder but i can't honestly notice much difference. I think i heard one blow off that was louder but I still get flutter and the same whoooosh sound. Maybe i'll have to wait til its not so windy around here to notice more.

I dont have an A/F guage and my tuner is on vacation, however the car feels great, idles smooth, good response-maybe even better than before, no lag, and my egt's are in check. Many felt this wouldn't affect A/F so im hoping the same for now until I have a chance to check it.

Thumbs up

Ok, 40 degree weather and I hit around 8psi and heard the Whoooooosh. It is louder. Not immensely louder but definitely a slight increase. My coolant seems to stay in the reservoir more now. Im not sure if this helps but seems to so far. Thanks nice mod!
