Question for all of the supercharged experts out there!

Hey guys, i currently have a procharger waiting to be installed, along with an emanage blue. I know everyone recommends utec or better, however i might have to work with what i have, which is the e-blue. I'm aiming for moderate gains only (7psi pulley with stock internals, 440 injectors, 255 fuel pump, kinetix high flow cats), and was wondering if the procharger and emanage blue is feasible. I know what everyone thinks about the e-blue, but given my situation, i dont have another choice. I was hoping with a conservative tune and moderate boost that it will be ok and safe to run the E-blue. Btw i'll be getting her tuned by a shop after installation. Any suggestions or alternatives other than the obvious, "go with the utec"? What about the E-manage ultimate? Thanks in advance for all of your input.

Why not just wait and do it right the first time??? Since you know that the UTEC is the preferred device, why not just Ebay the Emanage and wait til you can do the UTEC. Seems like the smart thing to do.

+1 And you will be splicing into your engine harness and all. The UTEC is just direct plug in. If you are finished your mods and just want moderate gains, get a flash. If you decide to use the emanage blue, that will work too, but it will be tuned conservatively. I heard from a reputable tuner, that the timing likes to jump around on the emanages. Can get a UTEC for around 850. and be done with it :] keep us posted what route you go with and the results.

Default Don't use E blue!

I have a procharger that I haven't installed yet, but got the E blue installed first by a Z dealership. I had bought it used on this forum. Had to wait for procharger install and after about three months the cats caught on fire. Did about $10k of damage and took months to find all problems and fix. Needless to say, wife was thrilled and is now leary of installing procharger. I would ebay the E blue and get your ECU flashed if you're just looking for modest gains and saving $. My choice has come down to utec or flash. Sorry this isn't the answer you're looking for, but aI wish I'd paid more attention to the negative stuff I heard about e blue!

Wow, I thought those could just burn out coil packs! How exactly did this cause your cats to flame up?

procharger will blow up your engine pretty quick if you don't get the timing nailed down. Do things right the first time and get the UTEC

Geeeze People have used the E-manage for quite a long time . If thats what you have...use it . Just make sure that the person that does the install and tuning -knows what they are doing . The others [ Utech & EMU ] are better but you can make do with what you have .

I'm still running the SS box at 13 to 14.9psi with my Vortech and everyone kept putting it down saying to wasnt as good as the E-manage

I had the ProCharger and the EU and almost blew it up because the timing signal and ignition would periodically scatter. Most the time it happened when I was puttin' around, but that was enough to switch to UTEC.

wait guys wait.. just hold the Fing phone.. im pretty sure eBlue only controlls fuel.. i may be wrong.. you can run Eblue if you must but you must controll your timine via J&S safeguard or similar thus just wait 4 the utec is cheaper in the end..
