Default overheating while on the dyno...

guys my APS TT install is complete...but i am having a small problem..i noticed that the car's temprature is increasing while on the dyno getting tuned.as soon as the boost kicks in the temp tends to rise..i have installed a koyo radiator and a nismo thermostat as well as a stillen oil cooler..
any ideas to what could be the reason?

make sure you let the thermostat open and add more water or coolant in...

make sure you don't have air in your system. You can check by turning on your heater, no hot comes out you probably have air in your system. Happen to my car once at Sharif's. He noticed the water temp kinda high, so we purged the radiator, and wala fixed.

Do you have a large industial fan blowing at the car to simulate airflow that would normaly cool the radiator when you drive fast?

Yep, air. Same thing happend to me after putting my motor back in. I read something about parking on a steep slope, leave the rad cap off, and start her up and top the coolent off. I tried it and to this day, no over heating.

purging the system? There's a plastic screw type thing at the back left of the engine bay along a coolant line. open that thing up after running it a little while and air will escape.

I'll soon be getting my hands on a Setrab oil cooler with a built-on fan that has a sensor turning the fan on at 185*, and off at 160*............so it won't take up grille space and will operate well, the fan is probably around 300cfm.

if the heat inside the car does not blast hot at idle, then there is air in the system.

air would get in the system from either not being properly bleed after refilling, or a headgasket leak allowing cylinder pressure to displace coolant out the overflow.

Dont go too heavy on the anti freeze ---I run a quart max and water wetter with Distilled water. ------ I will get flamed but so what, I tossed my thermostat. And lets not get into the water staying in the radiator longer etc etc etc, When I had my SC on ---thats what helped me, along with an upper diverter. Keep in mind --this summer here --NO rain all summer and 100 +++ many days

BTW ---Yes ---They need a Good fan on the DYNO---I take it for granted if they have a dyno they know that ---DUH
