Default Close call FI + damp roads = butt pucker (VIDEO)

**NWS due to some language used in this video**

Went to a local meet last night, this stage 2 TT 300ZX wanted to run.

I line up 3rd gear around 55mph, I guess the road ahead was a little more wet than I expected. I was in the right lane closer to the gaurd rail. I punch it in 3rd, I then go completely side ways and for a second my head lights were facing the gaurdrail. I thought to myself I was going kiss the rail, so I let off and tried to correct slowly and it worked, I still dont really remember what I did. Everything went by so quick.

Hehe I did the same thing last night NA. Even when the road is slightly wet punching the gas is like driving on ice.

Good thing you're ok. Like I said, you should leave VDC on the highway, it won't make you any slower only safer.

It saved my butt last week when I was passing someone in the rain.

I was kinda shaking after the whole thing, I mean I've been sideways before it in, just never right next to a gaurd rail.

LOL.. yep thats I-4. Oh, I remember I was riding in your car and the roads were just as damp that night. Everytime you punched it I was trying to hit my brakes in the passanger seat haha felt helpless. Your car made my gut hurt.

I couldnt really tell what happened in that video, but I had a similar incident last week. Decided to go out and have a play with my boost controller, got it upto 13 psi, punched it in 5th and the backend came out at around 100mph. Couldnt make the face I pulled if I tried! Luckily backed off and it recovered itself. Stuck to WOT in 6th after that.

Nice recovery, that's why I don't even take my car out in the rain.

I think that's exactly what I said after riding in his car. My ribs were sore.
