I guess I can't see this kit blowing traditional style kits out of the water like it is being hyped up to do based on those numbers at that psi. While I can definitly see some benefits to this design (ecnomy, turbo size v. space avalible) I just cannot see this design giving the resaults that are being claimed unless the dyno is exaggerated otherwise there would be more race teams that utilize this design.
i don't think it will be a dissapointment if it falls short of other S/Ts in power. The ease of install / removal and lower cost would be a big draw....if nothing else it will compete for the S/C groups attention.
Wish I had the money to be the test car for MRC. Im near by. From the other dynos, Im going to guess the power will be at around 385whp-415whp and have full boost earlier than 3500RPM. Hopefully this turns out to be a good alternative thats safer than others for cheaper. Cheap + safe = clear winner.
After reading the stuff on the STS website, looks like this may be a good alternative to the ST kits. I'd definately pick a remote mount over a under the hood ST but thats just me. Only time will tell.

in other news, i have figured why every one really doubts this kits and thats because every body thinks that turbo kits have to give you insane amounts of power like all the Twin Turbo kits. Have ever thought that maybe they where shooting for a kit more suitable for the everyday guy and not the "IM a crazy muth fuka and i need to hit 800hp guy".

I think that the whole reason behind the bickering is because while this kit has it's purpose and the community knows that, a person seems to feel that it will outdue some of the big dog twin turbos and there is a quote in this thread where they say that is is better. Things like that bring up contraversy just like the fuel return debate about JWT kits.
I think that the OP has defenitly hurt STS more then benefitted them because there are a number of skeptical people.
Plus just because the corvette did not have lag has nothing to do with the z. They are different engines.
There is one thing that I do wish STS would have done and that is to run dual all the way back to the turbo and merge right at the flange. Most people know that this will increase response based on the fact that it allows the turbine to see individual pulses instead of a smoothed out pulse (from pulses from each bank colliding). Not to mention that it would have made some power just from exhaust restriction reduction. Plus, with properly designed diameter you could increase the velocity of the exhaust pulses over a single pipe.

I too like to see independant results, cuase its no suprise to see inflated results out there.
If you go back and read my posts, I dont want to see this kit fail, I like diversity, I like that the Z community has more options now than 2 years ago. I do doubt the 400whp (on what dyno btw?) @ only 6psi, I do doubt the 3000rpm full spool on the "big" turbo option-seeing as how my TN kit didnt hit full boost till about 3800rpm's (I know others claim less). Regardless of all this, I think Subzero got a little ahead of himself, he had the rope and hung himself with it making comments regarding trap speeds, no biggie. I still look forward to results and actually, I look forward to MRC getting their hands on a car, tuning it, and putting it through its paces on a drag strip. And whoever made the comment about people being worried this was gonna knock off some "big dog" TT kits LMAO @ that comment, and I mean no offense to STS when I say that.
