Now I'm sure someone would build you something custom but I can't imagine the costs lol.

But with the 3.3 and something like a 7.5K-8Krpm, your gearing will be just dandy...right Alberto....

Or if you are really crazy you do like SP and rev to 9Krpm. a 3.3FD, 26in tire, at 8700rpm is doin 160mph....think thats better than the z06 or viper.

tom
I thought SP was still running the 3.5?

I believe the Armada uses a 2.9FD but I dont know if it would work...I think it would be too low of a gear for these cars, the 3.3 is perfect.

What 600+whp Z that MIGHT be able to use this would run a weaksauce 245? Those gears are waayyyy to long...it makes 6th gear worthless for acceleration.

yes they are, but they are also running a 28in tall tire so its not apples to apples on the mph (they are hitting 159mph with a bunch of room left in 4th gear)

I was just using their RPM level as an example

IMHO any Z/G that is F/I should change to the 3.3 gears. I hated the stock gears even when I had my TN kit, between the constant wheelspin and shifting it was almost impossible to pull hard below third gear.

When i did the 3.3 a month ago I was blown away. Its only a 6% change but it is huge if you have the TQ. Technically you would be accellerating slower in each gear, but now I get to use all the tq longer so I am accellerating much faster.

And crusing at highway speeds in 5th and 6th is rediculous insta-spool....full boost in 5th and 6th <3K rpms........crazy (picked up about 300rpm of spool across the board)

If your reving to 8k, wonder if the 3.3 or 3.5 would be a better choice for 800+rwhp....

we all know that SP runs 9.35 with the stock 3.5 and 8500RPM.

but still if u see the vids, ull notes that the shifting is still Uncomfortable for the driver, espacially the 5th gear.

im sure SP 350z gonna be more faster if they swap to 3.3

8000rpm's of engine and 3.3FD = stay in 4th down the 1320 for 99% of the cars on this forum...my engine sounds like its gonna explode at that rpm but its exhilarating
