car hiccups under heavy acceleration
power cuts off and idle is inconsistent
12 psi. 650cc.. the unichip crappying out?
help.
thinking F-Con pro, but not positive it'll fix the problem.
gonna have it looked at next week.

Mine is still doing this also. I have the UTEC.. so it may not be the computers fault. Someone said cleaning the camshaft sensor got rid of their hiccup and rough idle. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm throwing a code for the crank sensor?

Find the nearest FCON tuner and get the works, you'll never look back and it'll be the best 3-4k you ever spent

Not really true ,the larger injectors are scaled down via MAF voltage manipulation.
Note the base APS TT kit ,comes with a Unichip and 550cc injectors , no reflash and and idle is good. However; the Unichip + MAF scaleing still does a crappy job of scaleing down even larger 650s. It does, but it just provides unstable and sluggish fuel mapping. One symptom of power cut (hesitation) under a heavy load transition is caused by the rapid swing of the 1:1 RR Fuel regulator (analog Boost controlled), that the Unichip can 't scale out. So upon slamming the throttle down, you can go very rich for a brief interval , which causes an annoying stumble.
Actually the APS TT kit comes with self-proclaimed 500cc's, not 550's, but under the industry standard psi, they only come out to about 440cc's.
I had the exact same setup that Cannysage has....APS TT and 650's, but I had the AAM fuel system. Tuan at GRD could not get it to run right without the reflash.

I am currently running DW 650cc injectors with the Unichip, built block, S1 cams, CJ return system, 3.5 TPs , 3inch TD, "no" re-flash on 91.
Idle quality is "fair" once warm. However; it is nearly impossible to lean out the 1:1 Fuel regulator transiton with the Unichip. The UniChip + MAF loop is just too sluggish to keep up with very rapid boost rise I get. I transiton from 0-12.5 psi from 2k-3200rpm. The Fueling issue may also be one symptom being seen by others?
I am debateing FCON, AEM or even Hydra. The Unichip is a temp solution and the UTEC (it was tried already) pretty much sucked IMO.

I remember even with my reflash, idle still sucked for some reason. Really jumpy. It was chalked up to my JWT cams.
When I got the FCON installed and tuned, I was AMAZED by how well it ran out of boost, and idled. Like stock, even with my cams. If I were you G3po, I'd get the FCON, but I'm biased because I had it.
