did you use the rotable socket wrench extension? I use double extensions for tight places.

still not exactly sure what you are describing but I know it was a huge PITA to get my test pipes off the turbo. Extensions and swivels is what I used and tons of patience cuz it took awhile.

using 2 swivel extensions, creating 2 rotatable joints instead of just one..
yeah, getting the testpipe off took me 5 hours.. I almost started bawling.

To bolt my turbos up the first time i used flex head gear wreanches and literally was getting one to two clicks each turn, i remember it took a very long time to get those bolts in... It is honestly easier to just pull the motor to do the whole kit, i learned that the second time around.

A big +1!!

Not only is it easier, but I believe it's better, because you can get bolts torqued down better than if you're wrenching in a tiny area.

I sometimes get things started and semitite using 1/4 drive with swivels, then progress to 3/8 drive. Also have quite a collection of bent wrenchs that I have made through the yrs, it takes heat to bend them. If u have a bolt like u talk about here---always tighten it first to put a good squeeze on the gasket, then tighted the others last. Tightening the others last makes the difficult one tighter when u are done.

yeah, i can have the motor out in less than 2 hours, then its easy as hell to throw the greddy on, i would mount the turbo to the manifold before i would try to slide up the manifold onto the heads for sure...

dont use standard swivels, use impact swivels, they are 100 time better

If you do that, can you still get to all of the nuts on the manifold? I've never installed a Greddy kit, but with the APS I installed, you definitely cannot do that.

can you see the bolt? usually, if you can see it, there is a way to get to get to it. On my TN kit, there were a couple very difficult nuts to get to, and it took some creative tools to get to them.
