Considering trading in Evolution 8 so that i can get a 350z and building it up
So what i got some questions....how much power does the greddy tt turbo kit max out for power at
what power level does the car need to be built at to run safely...
How much can the clutch withstand?
What are some problems once you got forced induction
any input would be greatly appreciated....i did search around alittle but it was all mixed opinions so im wonder what the real answers are

This is a forum so everything is opinionated. What are your goals? Your budget? How do you plan on using it? Daily driven?
These are the same questions you would have to ask for building an Evo and it is no different for a Z. You need to provide us with some info as to what you want and how you want to get there or we as a community can be of no help to you and you will have to search for it on your own a bunch more which is honestly a good idea to begin with because FI for a Z is not like FI for an Evo obviously.
Good luck.

SO....
Greddy TT = over 600 WHP capable with supporting mods.
safe stock block levels = a Properly tuned 400 ft lb tq should be safe for years.
stock clutch = gonna need an upgraded clutch to hold 400 ft lb tq everyday, especially if you're drag racing, etc.
problems with FI? = improper tune = boom. improper install = boom. improper anything = problems..... Just do it Right and you should be fine. Everybody has their own bad luck though...

Honestly, ... what do you want out of your car?? The EVO is going to take A LOT less money to be a serious street And track machine.
So it all depends on what you want to do....

If you are looking for 600whp in a RWD car the Z is most definitly not a cheap way to go. It takes alot of money and alot of quality work in order to get it done right and make it last.

You can also tell by looking at an EVO econo box that it cost alot less money to make the car than a Z. Just my 2 cents

I admit I know almost nothing about the Evos (I do respect them), it costs alot of money to do TT in this car the right way, the first time. I've had my car for 4.5 years and I still have not boosted it because I want to do it the right way the first time. I decided that I am a car-freak, stereotypical Z fan that is in the FI thread here at my350z.com.
So, instead of installing a kit out of the box, driving it at 350whp, adding a UTEC, driving at 400 whp, uninstalling everything, doing internals, re-installing everything, adding a boost controller, driving at 425 whp, adding a 3" dual exhaust system, retuning it, driving at 450 whp, adding a retun fuel system, retuning it, driving at 475whp.....
I am going to do it all at one time, thre right way, the first time.
My build will likely start next month.
To do twins the right way, the first time will set you back about $20K in this car.
All of the TT kits have redeeming qualities and great potential, but none of them come complete out of the box (some are more complete than others) and all can be made relatively safe and powerful.
So, in the meantime, do what I have done since 2003....read, Read, READ, lurk around in these forums, educate yourself, set your goals, find a reliable installer/tuner, and have fun.

Other than looks and more torque (unless your a brand guru) I couldn't see a reason to switch to a Z if you already have a Evo 8. AWD, iron block, turbo from the factory, unlimited aftermarket and the list just goes on. Other than the intial buy in (purchase of the car) the aftermarket is just simply cheaper for the Evo than the Z due to the factory FI.
