I'm back. 420Ztt
As many of you know my motor flushed a ring with my first built motor. Sam@GTM had been great and helped me get back onto my feet with my car. He saw my Z and saw how detailed it is, and how much effort, money, and time has been put into the project.
As some of you have guessed, I was "car #1" in his 4.24L APS Extreme thread. I would love to have this thread filled with dyno charts reaching the 800 - 900rwhp vicinity, but the truth is, the APS Extreme injectors maxed out at only 14psi of boost. Reaching only 680rwhp. At that boost level, the injectors were already running 110% duty cycle, as they are actually 660cc injectors, rated for 4 bar of pressure, giving the calculation of 880cc. Hence the reason it was published as 880cc injectors. And also due to the fact that the APS Extreme Fuel Rails sit really low, there would not be enough clearance to use other injectors...so i might have to swap a whole fuel system.
Sam has been excellent to work with, always communicative every single step of the way, despite his extremely high workload. Due to a few large car shows that I would have to attend to, we would have to tentatively end this project at this stage. But rest assured, I will be bringing the car back to him next month, and we will see what other options are available in regards to fuel systems at this level.
Another thing of note...when he was test driving my car on the streets, he mentioned that there was so much torque, that he heard the chassis creak a little bit. So I called GT-Spec and see what they could do. They are sending me their front, mid, and rear tie bars for me to check out at these power levels.
I'm very disappointed at these power levels, but hopefully we'll soon see what it can do in a few weeks time with better injectors and maybe a better fuel system.
In regards to what had happened to my original built block, Sam is still doing a complete inspection on the block, so we will find out very soon. I'll keep everyone updated.
During this long downtime, I'd just like to thank all those members that have given me the encouragement and/or opportunity to progress with my project. This includes Sam@GTM, George@GTM, Andy@Performance, Rickdogg, Volk350Z, GTNPU_Z, Ronnie0738, MC, Darren@Intense, R0mey, NA&CH, Drisfu, CEO350Z, Changvi, and of course, my baby sis, monokuroboo. And of course many who I can't remember at this moment. Without you guys this project would have ended 2 months ago.
I'm still waiting for Sam to email me the last 14psi dynograph. But we did tune it already at 11.8psi and 13psi, as posted in the other thread. Here they are again if you haven't seen them.
I'll be back with a higher number later on. Rest assured on that.

obviously nice numbers and huge amounts of area under the curve.
that sucks about the APS extreme system - so extreme that it's designed for around 660whp and that's it
anyway congrats on the 4.24 stroker kit!

Congrats man. I love your car. Can't wait to see some more numbers with the larger injectors. You should get some vids up.
What shows will the car be at so I can take a look at her.

i love your car! so sick.
680 is a good point to take a breather and let everything break in nicely and get used to it all. You will be back with even more!

Your car is nuts and i love it its easily my favorite of 350z's right now. I say start making your own fuel system. I havent seen the 350z fuel setup but I know getting fuel rail stock and making your own fuel rails is not hard to do. As far as injectors I hear great things from a company called deutchworks, they do alot of setups for the 240sx. You might check them out, the biggest they say they make for the VQ is 650 but im sure you could get something done for your setup.

thanks guys.
In regards to the fuel system...I'm working with phunk and Sam to see if the CJM rails would fit with the APS regulators. Hopefully that could work and i could slap in some HKS 1000cc injectors.
