No I didn't because for me it was such a pain

If you do not run into complications I would imagine it taking 2 hours max
- did you replace your clutch fluid with something like motul?
I was unable to get special fluid in Hawaii so I used a valvoline 500 degree fluid, I may get Motul when I order something else from the mainland
- need any special tools other than the flare nut wrench?
Um well Flare 10mm for sure, the Slave cylinder bolt was a 12mm and the bleed line was 8mm. Get a old coke bottle and some clear vacuum line to put over the bleed line. Drill a hole in the bottle cap and run the line through it that way when you bleed the clutch you can see the air bubbles and once some fluid gets in the bottle air will not be able to return to the slave cylinder when you pump the clutch

Pumping the clutch is a pain. I had a hard time doing and ended up calling help.
Good Luck

rock and roll. I really hope this helps. I just cant see it making such a dramatic improvement. Maybe thats why i am in IT and not a mechanic.
