The APS kit comes with water/oil cooled ball bearing turbos vs the oil mitsu turbos with the greddy. The APS kit includes the big test pipes off the turbos. I think for the relatively small difference in price, the APS kit is the better value.

So, what's the point of getting the APS TT, if I need to upgrade the APS fuel system and possibly get EWG for the APS TT to achieve my HP goal? Don't you guys think it would be more affordable to just get the Greddy TT w an intercooler and a fuel return system?

Depending on the dyno, the APS basic TT has show between 550whp to 650whp maximum on the 3.5L engines. We did a couple at 550whp on our Dyno Dynamics dyno. That's about right.

Since GTM dropped out of the APS EWG project, who is making it??IMHO External wastegate conversions on the standard kit are not only useless, but very costly also...you will have to remanufacture a turbo manifold for the kit, to get the WG collector at the exhaust before the turbo, any other design simply will not work reliably. The labor and cost involved to remove and replace your APS standard manifolds, would be time and money best spent on upgrading the entire kit....

how much to just get the Extreme turbo's from the kit with the 3"testpipes without buying the whole kit?
or how much to just get some turbo's to handle more boost? with exwastegates already on? someone on here should start making an upgrade kit with bigger turbos and wg's to directly replace the aps turbo's without getting the extreme kit.
most of us will already have a bigger fuel system. is the piping to the intercooler and intake any different from the extreme to the regular kit? seems like a simple turbo upgrade could save us money.

Most people with built motors will probably never have a need to run over 18psi anyway. Fabbing up some log style manifolds from a jig based on the APS manifold isn't going to be a tall task, and from there all you need to do is route the dump back into the exhaust on the DP...no big deal.
As far as making log manifolds, by the time you buy them for aprox $700-$1200 projected cost...Remove the APs ones and reinstall them with external WG's ($150-$200 each not counting extra piping) you well over $2500 in parts and labor..
The Extreme kit is $1500 more than the standard and comes with a fuel system good for 600-700whp..
Case closed IMHO..
